Also, I'm pretty sure anyone who used any of the console commands to unlock anything will end up with a stat or achievement reset.

There's a small chance. Though it's more likely that Valve will consider how a lot of people are using the unlock commands/farming and reconsider achievement based unlocks in the future.

    God, I hope so.

Alternately, I might have chosen a hybrid approach...give the weapons at like 6/12/18, and the other half are just for fun. You'd still have some day one farming, but really at that point any competent medic would get at least two if not all three of the unlocks relatively quickly, and through normal play.

36 new medic achievements is fucking awesome. Having it actually matter in-game if I have 24 or 36 of them? Fucking not.

EDIT: Especially given that at least a handful (needed to get all 36) are absolutely ridiculous and have nothing to do with any sort of skill or time put into the class.

And I was planning on going medic for atleast 2 hours.

Mine managed to do it just a couple days after I broke my wrist in basic training (Army) and found out that I'd not be graduating with the rest of my company...and that I'd get a couple bonus months of basic training to boot!

Don't do unlock all. :) There's apparently some commands that will unlock JUST the milestone achievements, which is what actually gets you the guns. Then you can get the rest normally.

try ACHIEVEMENT_UNLOCK_MILESTONE1 (or 2 or 3) and see what happens. I can't test it because I used ALL right away. :(

Sorry for disappearing last night, my internet connection decided to be flaky as hell, and would crap out every thirty seconds or so. Weird, since that usually only happens when there's bad weather, and it was fine.

There's something strangely satisfying about watching a flock of medics run at you, and unloading a stream of crit rockets into their faces. :D

    You can count me in!

    EDIT:
Oh yeah. Wanted to mention that I wasn't available to play a whole lot last night. The funny thing was that most of my crit-related deaths were due to fatties. It was somehow more infuriating than the usual crit sticky/rocket goodness I fall victim too. Hell, most of my deaths PERIOD were due to fat crits. Argh!

This brings me to...is there any noticeable graphical aura or anything for when someone is crit-ubered, or whatever it's called? It was too crazy to be something else.

    I want to say it's

    achievement_unlock TF2_MEDIC_ACHIEVEPROGRESS1 (and 2, and 3)

Right, its ACHIEVEMENT_UNLOCK_ALL. The problem is it sets all achievements to done, which is sub-optimal if all you want is the guns.

But achievement_unlock_all is way easier to remember.

They should make it like cl_achievement_setmode_attribute_parameter 5.275 for unlock all
and then UNLOCK_MEDIC for the medic achievements

(because nobody really wants to activate any single medic weapon individually)

Yea it sucks... appreciate the condolences. mcdermott, pros, sith.

    But the thing is:

    1) We dated last March-June before she told me she really really liked me and wanted to go out with me. During that time, we made an agreement to not sleep with other people during us dating cause we felt we really liked each other.

Outcome: Yea she ended up sleeping with her ex bf after making me promise not to do that exact thing before we were together. She's cheated on every bf she's had with him. Now she hasn't cheated on me (as far as I know) but I've been cheated on almost every single relationship, and I still refuse to do it no matter what, I know how it feels.

    2) I decided to move out of my house for the first time around November, and told her that it would be best if I got my own place and she could crash there/come over whenever she pleases, but it should not be her place too for reasons such as this. Now I've got to find another place to live.

Outcome: Of course I give in, feel like it would be a change of pace and open up my <3 to a different type of relationship. Now the past month and a half she's just been getting very very annoyed with me even when I've done nothing wrong. I have a keen sense of these things and how it'll end up. First it seemed like we were getting too comfortable with each other, then it just seemed like excuses to yell at me.

    3) I sort of built this wall to not start falling for someone again, before I met her. It was this thin line I had where I'd want to date them/be with them that i'd never cross unless I knew for a fact I was head over heels for her and she felt the same way. Girls are just too... what's that word where their succumb to change a lot? Iuno, I'll figure it out. It's a weird word. Starts with an F. EDIT: OH YES! FEEBLE-MINDED

Outcome: At first I never wanted to be with her, I had a feeling that we would end up being great, then the crazy girl syndrome would kick in and all signs of sensibility was kicked in the nuts. I finally asked her out and we were happy till about 2 months ago where the $ situation began. Rent is high, bills are high, food, gas, cell phone, marijuana (yes i know).

It's to the point where I'm being judged and ridiculed so much, that breaking up with me just doesn't feel that bad, compared to all the other bullshit I have to go through.

So yea, sorry for the rambling I apologize, but you guys definitely hit the nail on the head with the timing thing.
I just wanted to enjoy my video games on my day off that I've been planning since February.

A heavy on medium open ground with abit of cover will be an avatar of god with the critzcrieg. More so than any soldier, because the heavy can lay down constant firepower that is hitscan and has way more health.

So will a spy at long range, more so than a sniper if he's a good shot (much faster firing rate).

A good sniper does not need a critzcrieg.

Pyro get's the least benefit. An overhealed soldier still has time to launch him even if he has a crit and a level 3 sentry will still waste him head on in milliseconds. They are best to normal uber and let someone else have the critzcrieg while he is distracting people.

BlueUber heavy is still the close range king.

A good critzkrieg scout will wreck shop as long as his medic can keep up with him.

I'm interested in what Valve can possibly do with future melee unlocks. Some melee weapons work differently (bat, knife) and some can be tied into class role (medic, engy), but what can they do with the functionally equivalent ones, like fireaxe, shovel, kukri, etc.? Yoga fist sounds just crazy enough to work, so that's a good one for heavy, but I'm at a loss as to what other vanilla weapons can be made to do.

Some ideas thrown out off the top of my head:

Sniper: 20% slower swing, successful hit grants an instantly full charge bar on next scope

Soldier: Base shovel damage is weaker and can't crit, but can be charged and held at full charge for crit-like damage

Pyro: Cleave the Earth (yes, the whole planet) in twain

Scout: Home-Run bat with huge knockback (disadvantage is, its no longer really a killing tool since you'd have to chase them down again after every hit)

Also, somebody mentioned that Goldrush plays very similar to Dustbowl. I'd agree, with the exception that the red team has much more incentive to push back offensively than in Dustbowl. But either way, it's all good to me...I actually like Dustbowl, I just think it was starting to get a little old. A new epic offense/defense map was pretty much exactly what I wanted.

Hell, they didn't even need to create a new game mechanic for it. They could have just kicked out a new 3 by 2 CP map and I'd have been happy.

Seriously. A heavy on a crit streak can generally do more damage more quickly to more people than a soldier on a crit streak. Largely due to reload time (or rather, the lack thereof).
