[Game On] Team Fortress 2: I've posted in water buffalos more tougher than you!
Posts
It says it's pretty close - 112 damage being the max, so it might be that rocket damage is separate from splash damage or some fall damage is in the mix.

just fyi
also, it's a shame this doesn't list self-damage, because that fucker puts me in the grave more than anyone else's weapon

put the blunt down every once in a while and you may be able to finish reading them.
Someone (it's always someone, isn't it?) should just create a honc community and schedule honc time reminders thru steam.
I don't think this quite fits.

Also, good medics often see their benefits immediately from crits, because a good medic is often alive after the rest of the offensive push has died.
tyrannus you are nothing without your crits.
nothing.
Also, update will come out tomorrow dammit.

I've only played against Zek when he was a medic, and I was under the impression that he discouraged battle medic gameplay.

TELL THEM
gee my memory's a little hazy
wouldn't it be nice if you could show them yourself?
If my understanding is correct, he only just started playing medic much since the annoucements.
And I'm not sure of his feelings towards battle medic gameplay, but I think I've [strike] put up with him [/strike] played enough games with him that I believe it's more the "stupid gameplay" that he finds discouraging.
i swear to god
we DO have a competitive server. we should add it to the OP.
The moment something is described as competitive I immediately think, "Huge fucking douchewankers."
In other news: this game needs a cl_crits = 1 cvar. You can set it to 0 if you don't want to crit. Then, Zek can do that and shut the fuck up.
Why does it have to be either current crit mechanics or none? I feel a better system that compromises between the two will solve the major complaints towards current crit mechanics while still allowing crit fans to fire their
MOTHER
FUCKING
CRIT
ROCKETs.
So, how about a crit system where everyone's base is 0%, and it stays at 0 until you'd be above 10% crit through damage dealt anyway? I don't know the exact numbers that the current system uses, but if dealing, say, 100 damage grants 10% crit now, then such a modified system will keep the random undeserved crits out of the picture, while still allowing skilled players the crits they do deserve. I mean, I was on the Vidya server this past weekend; as a Red soldier on Gravelpit I killed three Blus coming out of spawn as soon as the door opened with my first shot of the round, and I laughed like a madman (two of their guys played MOTHER FUCKING CRIT ROCKET), but I didn't deserve that at all. It was fun at the moment, sure, and didn't really mean anything since it was at the start of the round and they just respawned in five seconds anyway, but such a thing happening well into the round is no good. A modified crit system such as I propose would have given my second rocket a large chance of crit, which I did deserve from the damage dealt by the first rocket (positioning myself to hit three dudes at once with a single rocket means I'm doing something very right).
Alternatively, give everyone a crit meter that charges with damage dealt and can be activated at will once full. Either proposal cuts out the bullshit kills while still integrating crits into play.
I spent most of the time playing as a Medic, and it was the first time I've ever played a medic. I wasn't doing so hot. And someone kept yelling at me in vent, but I couldn't understand them.
