This is why Sands of Time is my second favourite of the trilogy.
The third one only wins because of stealth kills. But if it was for pure flow, or effortless moving through the level without pause or loading screen, Sands of Time is bestest.

I do like the stealth kills, but damn, I played SoT 3 times in a row, and cut my time in half on each playthrough. And it was consistently awesome. It just looks and feels so cool to go "flip, leap, spin, flip jump... " for like 3 hours straight. I honestly wouldn't mind no combat at all.

The trick was when you got good at the stealth kills the COMBAT in 3 was like that too, since the levels were set up so that you had lots of ways to sneakily start the sequences.
I can't be the only one who sometimes used the sand to make sure that missed dagger flash actually connected.

As much as I liked the stealth kills, I could never get past the fact that it just felt like a band-aid slapped over WW's shitty combat. Kind of like a QTE with the game over screen replaced by five minutes of raising my blood pressure.
I'm so ecstatic at the combat direction in IV, though. Edge preview made it sunshine in my happy place.
there's one more secret to reveal, that is apparently fundamental to literally everything in the game... but Ubisoft aren't talking about it yet.
i'm betting it's actually set in the future and you're a barkeep called desmond
It's a shortsword that lets you fast-forward time and see a few seconds into the future.

You guys do realize that the thing they are not revealing yet is that the game is actually a computer simulation made by an ancient cult which wants to rule the world in the future, right?

And you realize that people have already made that joke in this very thread, right?
Maybe you can use the sands of time to go back and post it first.

Well, finally got around to viewing this thread at home and I must say I'm impressed with the visuals so far. It reminds me of Vagrant Story for some reason, but that's a good thing. I need to go back and finish the PoP games, I've enjoyed what I've played but I haven't had an opportunity to sit down and play them yet.

I award you your no prize, but congratulate you for playing.
I am not left handed either...
"I am..... well, I don't have a name but you killed my father. prepare to die."
"I'm no one to be trifled with."
Battles are like duels? With tactics necessary against single powerful foes?
Astonishing graphics?
Wants to be the Princess Bride?
Assassin's Creed-like parkour-ness?
Open level-choosing with designed levels?
My word.
tbh, I rarely play shooters or 3rd-person adventure games, but something this excellent just makes me drool. :P

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.

Wait, this is not what happened. Let me start again.
Prince answer me! Prince? PRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINCE!
m i rite?
Prince? Prince?? PRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINCE!!!!
Sorry.
Hey.
Look up.
You totally have a clone.
A clone that posts terrible jokes before you.
Now you must duke it out. I'll get the popcorn.
I see you didn't get the perfect joke Darleysam and me played out.
The art is actually incredible and nothing like MGS.
Scans. Nao.
And Klyka, any joke that you need to explain is not a perfect joke.
Explain.
All that has happened will happen again.
KILL THE TOASTER!
Anyway, I really think this could be an awesome game.
