So here's the deal. I want to sell my desktop and keep my lcd screen to use as a tv in my "economic sized" apartment in LA. Is there anyway I can connect my macbook to the lcd, while also having a cable tv connection? Here's what LCD I have:

lemme know if anymore info is needed to help me out, I am teh n00b at this junk.

EyeTV and then a mini-DVI to DVI converter.

Well I'm assuming EyeTV works with cable decoders or the box or whatever. It probably won't. Works well with terrestrial signals in the UK though...

An alternative option is to get a VGA converter(Like this guy) and run the macbook's connection through the passthrough port on it, then a cable box through the AV ports.
