And yes, I imagine that is annoying. I haven't ran into that problem, yet. I'm supposed to go and do my first instance (besides the instanced missions) in the huge cathedral (like, really huge). The grinding quests I did so far involved moving to a dense spot, hit space and watch the mayhem ensue.
*e: it must be noted that I loved the fuck out of the druid in Diablo2, so this whole squad based fully automated rape machine is right up my alley. My murder of crows+pack of wolves were the bees knees.
Yeah, I don't know, I could never get into the series. My roommate last year had Vice City and San Andreas, and I would mostly run around, get into a car chase, maybe blow something up and I'd get kind of bored. I have the same problem that Tycho had a couple of comics ago - there's just too much freedom. I feel I have no direction.

That's what sucks about manufacturers in the US. We've got about seven in Alabama and Georgia combined, but I can't just drive to one and buy a car or go to the dealer right across the street and buy a car without having to pay the standard delivery fee.
Well depending on distance it does save on wear and tear on the car. So in theory you save on trade in value.
