The title says it all. I just need a program (?) or a bit of instruction on how to convert a word document into rich text format. I'm using Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac. Thanks.

File -> Save As -> RTF (Rich Text Format)

That's how you'd do it in Windows, anyhow.

Hm. Alright, I shall try it. Who knows on a mac, though.

I knew it had to be something ridiculously easy. Thanks.

TextEdit uses rtf by default, so if the above doesn't work for some reason you should be able to just paste the documents into a TextEdit file and save that.

That works on the mac too, in Word X at least. Or just copy pasta into TextEdit like Smasher says.
