I vote for !James in the WW1 phalla.

Starting out networked with ALL the Germans, he gave out half of the German identities to the good guys to avoid being killed for a few turns. He started in the same square as me, as close as possible to the allied command unit, and volunteered to stay behind while I bolted when told the allies were going to seer us... and then spilled his guts when we were seered.

Yes, he had some sort of weird socialist win condition... but you don't do that to people you start out networked with :(

I might have named myself for that incident in the space station game where the good guys got hometowns, the bad guys didn't, and I immediately launched into EVERYONE POST YOUR HOMETOWNS, HA HA, THAT'S AN ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION, LET'S GET HIM, and then it turned out that the host had actually mixed an administrative division in with the actual cities... but it's got to be Lady Eri.

I guess I don't remember the 'meltdown' part of the award. I'll keep my nomination idea up, but Lady Eri has to hold that one without a doubt.

It's one thing to help your team lose by a blunder or some such, but to simply quit the game and stop playing easily classifies as a melt down along with helping your team lose because you were a self-proclaimed special and decided that it was no longer worth trying.

I keep hearing about Ladi Eri. Damn that girl is forum famous. Makes me wish I had been around to see it.

Anyway, I can't think of anyone to nominate for this award. Looking at the nominations so far though, it looks like who to vote for will be a tough decision.

To be fair to Lady Eri, from her perspective it was rather inexplicable how everyone in the network kept dying.
God, I was so pissed when I found out how you guys were doing it. So pissed. Especially since I was the one who inherited the network and spent the next day or so chasing my tail trying to figure out where the "leak" was myself.

Nominate myself, for the end of Rishiri. When our last seer kicked the bucket, right after seering us, we decided to just say fuck it and go public. This actually succeeded, as I ended up being networked to a guardian as a result. The game looked like it was about to turn around, until we failed to root out the last monster.

On the final day, I was the sole confirmed villager, and, lacking any real hunches, flipped a coin between DevoutlyApatheic and RainOPain to die to the vote.
    The answer was Aroduc.

Psycholarry never posted the role PMs for WW1 Phalla, so I'm not certain if the socialists actually had the socialist win as their primary objective or if that was just James trying to fast-talk Meister and Varcayn.

I thought when Drez got banned he asked for it though?

No. Sabs, you need to learn what the phrase "he was asking for it" means. It doesn't mean "he asked me to ban him." It means "he was being a dick, trying to provoke me into banning him." At least that's what The Cat meant in the ban thread. I never asked to be banned. Asking to be banned is cowardly.

It was night 1, before anyone got seered. And he did out himself as a cultist. He literally said "I'm a cultist".

    And he lost the vote?

No. What happened was, there were multiple independent factions of cultists. Shinto came out and said he was a cultist, and was sacrificing himself to get his team in contact with other cultist teams (the rules stated that the cultists teams could team up to get special powers).
Shinto was really a cultist whose special power was to seer and be listed as a good guy. His plan was to get in contact with other cultists, sell them out to the village, and become a trusted villager. Meanwhile, since he'd have been seered as a good guy, he'd get close to the seer. And so he'd lead the village to defeat and his cultist team to victory.

I was a regular villager, so I figured I'd PM Shinto and take him up on his offer, if only to try to play him and get the names of the other cultists. Instead, Shinto sold me out to the village, and we spent the rest of the day publicly defending ourselves and accusing the other one of being a cultist. Eventually, Shinto won the argument by declaring "Richy is evil, let's kill him now, and if he's a villager you guys can kill me tomorrow." I got a vast majority of the vote and got killed.

I was of course revealed to be a villager. The next day the village looked at Shinto, who picked another victim and declared "let's kill him now, and if he's a villager you guys can kill me tomorrow, for real this time." Almost half the village went along with it again, but Shinto narrowly won the vote and got killed that night.

Shinto was revealed as a villager, which was one of his cultist special abilities. This led to an argument in [chat] between me and another forumer (I forget who) on whether Shinto was really a cultist or not. The argument lasted until the end of the game, when ElJeffe revealed everyone's roles and (to the shock and surprise of many) it revealed that Shinto indeed was a cultist. I won that the other forumer had to change his title to "Richy was right" for two weeks.

I propose we add an award for the category "best narration".

Because writing those narrations every night is hard, and writing consistently good, interesting and/or funny narrations is hard work that deserves to be recognized.
