Hey guys, did you ever read the reviews when the movie came out, talking about how it was a VAMPIRE MOVIE?
Because I wondered if the reviewers had seen the same movie I had, or if I had totally missed something.
Well, to be fair, the back of the copy of Night Watch that I have states that it is 'Like Harry Potter in Gorky Park."
Which is also horrible and badwrong.
Just thinking about the awesome characters in the books, and I realized that Anton is one of the few protagonists that I really, really, really, really like. He's flawed as shit, and he knows it, but he's still smart enough to do something like...

Just sit back and let Kostya make the choice to go into space, because he realized that there's nobody to draw power from up there, making him absolutely powerless. Whenever he gets tons of power, he realizes that the smartest thing to do is to NOT use it. He's a cool guy that way.
Well I kinda get what happened in it and what it meant, but thats only because of my friend who had actually seen Night Watch explaining things, and he said he wasn't sure about it so all my knowledge could be completely wrong

The movie make more sense if you've read the book. They're also infuriatingly dumbed down.

Heh, looking forward to this, I keep wanting to hop in a phalla but consistently miss the sign-up periods. Plus the Nightwatch universe is pretty sweet from what I've seen (just the 2 movies so far, haven't gotten around to tracking down the books).

I've seen Day Watch and it was confusing as hell, I'm assuming its easier to understand if you watch the first beforehand
But yeah, it would make a lot more sense if you watched them in order.
