    City of Heroes/Villains Live Server Update May 20th!
    On Tuesday May 20th at 6:00AM CDT (11:00 AM GMT) All North American City of Heroes & City of Villains servers will be brought down for an extended maintenance. The anticipated downtime is approximately 5 hours....

    Hm, an unscheduled 5 hour update? O_o

    There's a post from an EU community rep implying that the patch is to launch I12. We'll know soon enough, regardless.

    I've already canceled my CoH account and likely will pick up Age of Conan today, but if Issue 12 is in fact out, I may have to go and make myself a Psychic blaster since my account is still good for another month.

    I was so terribly tempted by AoC but with my recent purchase of GTAIV, Boom Blox, and the soon to be released i12 I decided to wait. I'm hoping they have some NOW WITH DX10 deal when they get DX10 working in-game at the end of the year.

    So I got my debit card thing fixed. Turns out that when the company entered my card information into their databases, they put my card expiration date of 11/10 as 11/01 instead.

    Personally, I'm going to unlock Cimerora on my 50s before I make a VEAT. It's hella annoying having to do that arc to get inside.

    I don't want another Scrapper or Tank until Shields, nor a Defender until they get love, maybe a Blaster but Psi doesn't have me hot in the pants.

    They put some crazy draconian restrictions on trial accounts:

    • Hold more than 50,000 Influence/Infamy
    • Join a Supergroup
    • Use any chat other than /local, /team,or /friend.

    • Use In-Game Mail
    • Level up past level 14
    • Enter any PVP Zone

    I know they wanted to reduce spamming, but most of these are just going to discourage people trying the game. Can't join a supergroup? Invite to a team? No Help chat? No tells at all while on a trial? NO GLOBAL CHAT? o_O

    That is bullshit and one of the main complaints I had about WoW when I tried it. completely kileld hte experience for me.
    Who the fuck cares if a gold farmer joins a group, enters a PVP zone, levels past 14 on a free trial, or can use global, or even broadcast? This is just fucking retarded. I'm writing someone about it because they are cutting their own balls off with this type of move.

    I don't think this was really ready to go live.. the interface is still super-buggy from test. I can't stop my windows from dimming, and I can't get my autopowers to show up. :/

    edit: Although I already <3 my fire scrapper so much and she's only level 2...

    Remind me what you need to do in order to do this? I honestly don't remember. I'm not even sure I ever knew in the first place.
