[spoiler:de92492697]Booster as Supernova just seems more obvious now than ever. Just the fact that he was talking with Ralph, and something about the way they talked just seemed to fit. Which is almost disappointing, when you consider people have been calling it ever since the cover to Week 6 came out.
Still, Booster's cool, and hopefully they won't change the identity of Supernova at the last minute.[/spoiler:de92492697]

They'll reveal who Supernova is, and then immeadiately kill him
That'll teach you to figure things out on your own!
I liked this week's issue. Lady Styx, who I had been responding to with a lot of eyerolls, especially after DC said she was going to be the next Darkseid, came across as really evil and threatening in a very alien way. I mean, she made a goddamn earring out of a Green Lantern. The entire thing with the cubes destroying the natural ecosystems of planets reeked of Morrison in the best way.
Here's a question though, what's up with Captain Comet? I know a new, younger one is starring in Mystery in Space, but at the end of this issue he [spoiler:6ee4de4ad7]ejected his primary conciousness from his body. So is his mind inhabiting the dude over in Mystery in Space, or did he just pass off his powers and some personality to the young dude or what? These are questions I could easily answer by buying MiS, but I'm a little cash shy right now.[/spoiler:6ee4de4ad7]
Also, Everyman is fucking creepy, and Supernova is really looking like Booster. So much so that it almost seems like a fake-out, but I don't know who else would be so casual with Ralph besides an ex-team mate, and he's the only one I can think of that fits as Supernova

[spoiler:e80eaad4db]Basically, Captain Comet, before dying, ejected his consciousness into space, hoping someone will be able to save him. It looked kind of like the Human Torch, sans fire, or even an orange Silver Surfer flying through space. Comet's consciousness see's another one flying past. Comet tried to give chase, and the two had a brief tussle, the other trying to get away.
During the struggle, the two beings briefly merge into one, though the other breaks away and flies off. It was enough to bring Comet back to life, and send him crashing down back to Hardcore Station..right infront of Tyrone, sporting a newer, younger body.
Same Comet, just younger. It's still pretty much in the how and why mode though. The other consciousness is the main character in "The Weird" backup story. [/spoiler:e80eaad4db]
Decent book though, and yes, Lady Styx is a creepy looking bitch. She's got another pair of arms where her breasts are supposed to be. Hot? Yeah, kinda.

I honestly do not are about the "lost in space" storyline anymore. It is so boring that I get angry when it's in the book. Which sucks since Animal Man, Adam Strange, Starfire, and Lobo are all awesome

Waid and the other writers said it's cool if everyone figures out who Supernova is, there's no way they're going to change it at the last second just because of that, especially since it's not that hard to figure out.
So, yeah, it's probably Booster.

He's crazy and has a Dick Grayson obsession, because he thinks that Bruce liked Dick better as Robin and let him get killed. He's acting like Nightwing to prove he's better than Dick. And also because he thought it would be the best way of achieving his destiny of getting turned into a giant octopus monster that swallows people whole.
He works on the Beetlejuice principle. Say his name three times and he appears, ruining all of your favorite books and characters. I heard it from the Hulk fan who first found out.
In that one blog, "52 Pickup," they made a really good case for Supernova being Snapper Carr. It'll never, ever, ever, happen, but I think it's neat how involved people are getting with the mystery.
That said, it's almost certainly Booster. 52 has been mostly self-contained, so I can't imagine the writers pulling some obscure character out of nowhere to use as Supernova, which pretty much precludes anyone but Booster or Rip Hunter. I also read an interesting theory that Supernova is not teleporting, but rather using time travel to blink around, and that 52 is referring to the missing seconds he's "stealing" to move around.

I picked up the first two issues of Deadman, and they were awful and had nothing to do with Deadman, and now the guy looks like Deadman so I kind of want to pick it up but I just know it'll be awful
[spoiler:1a8743ca13]-NRAMA: Back on earth - with the Everyman project subjects losing their powers, as John Henry has figured out...how many of them are fliers?
MS: Approximately 3,720. Next question.
NRAMA: Any reason you know that number so specifically?
MS: Next question!
-NRAMA: So - Ralph knows who Supernova is, something he figured out by looking at his powers from the proper angle. Flight, apparent teleportation, light discharges...those are the powers, right? Any hints as to which way to look at them?
MS: Ralph is still one of the world’s greatest detectives, so it wasn’t difficult for him to put all the pieces together and determine the identity of person behind the mask. As for you internet sleuths and would-be detectives, if you search back through all of the issues, you should be able to make a fairly educated guess regarding Supernova’s true identity. However, because it’s the Christmastime—which is the season of giving—I’ll give you all a hint: don’t look at just one person’s powers. After all, nobody said that Supernova was one individual.
-NRAMA: Are all the major players in the main 52 storylines life-long inhabitants of the Post Infinite Crisis earth?
MS: That depends on if all of the major players are actually living, doesn’t it?
-NRAMA: Alright, from "effect" - Will Jason Todd ever show up in 52? Explaining what happen to him after Under the Hood? Or if Batman knows he's alive?
MS: Jason Todd? In 52? What makes you think you haven’t seen him already?
-NRAMA: Yeah, yeah…of the teases/comments in Rip Hunter's cave - which one will be addressed soonest?
MS: “He won’t smell it.†Really. No, really.[/spoiler:1a8743ca13]
Also, this picture was linked to the article due to one of the site's posters bringing this up again and again. It might have already been brought up here but just in case, I'm putting it up so you all can take a look. Is he linked to one or more of 52's events and/or fallout or is it just something coincidental along the lines of accidentlly making words via your calculator? You be the judge.
NRAMA: And = as “Squashua†has championed on our boards - the new Blue Beetle has a "52" on his chest? Yes or no?
MS: Yes, but only when he’s in 52. In his own book, it goes back to looking like a scarab
Coincidental. Called it.
He didn't really answer whether the alien Tech in the suit knows what's happening and changed the logo to try to warn people, or if the artists of the comic did it for fun though. That is something I'd like to know, by design or for fun.

Um, theres nothing mentioning 52 in Hamner's sketch book designs for BB.
Given Styx's penchant for devouring Green Lantern rings, and the scarab's inability to be around GL rings without spazzing out, it's a definite possibility. I still kind of want the scarab to be related to the "bugs" of New Genesis. Forager, Mantis, and the like. The suit already has sort of a Kirby look to it, so I think it'd be neat if it got tied into all the crazy 4th World stuff, especially with Jaime's more down to Earth, "You superheroes are fucking crazy, err, loco," attitude.
The funny thing about the "52" on the chest of BlueBeetle thing is that yesterday I went to see Apocalypto and one of the natives had THE SAME 52 ON HIS CHEST!!!

Says it all really. As always though, the Ralph Dibny part was the highlight of the issue.
