I was wondering what kind of free stuff should I expect at PAX? Pens and pencils, tshirts and demos, or full versions of games?

just wondering

    Bag of dice (full set)
    Posters
Pirates of the Burning Seas t-shirt (I think he gave it to me cuz I was the only person to freeze the game up during the whole event, since I actually lost and didn't finish)
Several game demos for systems I don't own.
Clout (that weird poker chip tossing game)
1 ship for Pirates of the Spanish Main
    Bawls, SnoBawls, and Bawls Mints

There were also job offers to locals, discounts to US citizens on PC stuff, stuff like that. If you really swag-whore like some people, yeah you could score a huge amount of stuff. I wish I had gotten a DS glow thingy though.

Full versions of games? Hah, unless it's something like GuildWars, or you win it like that one MMO type thing.

Hells yeah. I managed to score a full copy of Lineage II, and City of Heroes as well as a beta for City of Villians. Keep in mind though, that trivia competition was fucking brutal.

I still remember the question I won CoH for too.

Yeah. Turbine was giving away a lot of D&D Online Betas. Even during their bar party. One guy had to do charades to a D&D monster to win a beta pass. I won it for him by yelling "GELATINOUS CUBE!"

They also were giving the beta keys away for finishing the demo at their booth on the weekend. Or if you had one in the dice bags they were tossing out at the line before it opened Friday. So I ended up with two. Wouldnt be surprised if they had Lord of the Rings Online beta keys this year.

I also got a free copy if Lineage II last year from tivia at the NCSoft booth for knowing the actor that played Darth Vader.

Yeah, and there was me that did the shambling mound and probably only got a beta pass for that because I mentioned it was my 21st birthday. Ended up with a LOT of drink tickets for that party. And then the next day did the dungeon with some random guys and finished with almost half the time left on the clock.

So for those of us who don't have to wait in line will we be missing out on the swag? Also do people that fail utterly in the first round of the omegathon get anything other then a nice serving of sadness? (not that I expect that to happen to me or anything  )

Mine's purple, but its a manly sort of purple so I still wear it.

Only problem is everyone asks me what gamecloud is and I have to explain that I have no idea what it is and the shirt was free.

Edit: Also, there were soo many bawls mints last year it wasn't even funny. Everyone would just grab one and down practically the whole tin in seconds. Im surprised nobody at PAX ever goes into caffeine-related cardiac arrest.

Did anybody see the Bawls pyramid they made in the Tabletop gaming area? It's really a shame they are segregating the Tabletop Gamers this year. Their so damn creative!

I think I myself had like 10 bottles of bawls. I've probably done worse. No cardiac arrest yet. It's like the stoners who say you can't overdose from THC. Can you overdose from caffeine? I know pregnant women and people with heart problems aren't supposed to have so much. But seriously, I've drank like 4 pots of coffee in a few hours, mind you I felt like absolute shit the next day, but I recovered. Xo)

As for Gamecloud, it's like an online file sharing system. The original Penny Arcade Podcasts were posted on it.

You'd probably be far, far too sick before you ever got anywhere near overdosing on caffeine.
A caffeine overdose lies somewhere in the range of 3-20 grams of caffeine.

A bottle of bawls has 67mg of caffeine. So a normal person would need to drink between 44 and 298 bottles of bawls in a relatively short period of time in order to overdose on caffeine. But, while not realistically possible with drinks, there are pills that have 200 mg of caffeine in them. So 15-100 of those would do it.
