sooooo, those who are in beta, what kinda specs do you have? all running monster rigs or are some of you running some archaic setup?
Just curious to see if mythic are only picking high specs for testers, I'm fairly certain my 2.8 duo 7950gtx should be easily enough to run WAR with decent graphical settings.

Well I only have a 2.2Ghz and a 6600GT right now, because I was smart and didn't buy a whole system back when they suggested, since they put off the beta for almost a year partway through. If I get in, I'll order my list of parts that's been sitting on newegg for forever and give them a new dx file.

I'm pretty sure my pitiful laptop ATI x1300 isn't helping me get into Beta.
In fact, I believe it is hurting me quite a bit.

i'm suck with some pretty lackluster equipment myself. i was looking to build a new rig before the game came out, but i think i will have to wait until the end of summer and i can reap the remains of my financial aid for tuition.

nah, i got scammed out of that. something to do with my parents calming me as dependent even though i haven't lived there or received money from them in years. apparently i am gary coleman 2.0.
i have a wishlist on new egg going. its pretty affordable as far as computers go, clocking in at just about a grand. i'm sure i can make a few tweaks here and there to change the price but really, i don't need a super machine. but i would like something that can run WAR / WOW with decent settings and have the option of future upgrading.

So you didn't file taxes as an independent this year?
nope. i filed online for the first time and actually got back the correct amount. i need to amend my taxes as far back as they will let me. i've probably lost a ton of money (6 years of college tuition being paid by myself and loans that was never filed).
my parents never really stressed good financial obligations. they just spend the money as they get it. which is probably why i am going to regret not saving more money to pay off tuition! i will have to call them and let them know they owe me about 800 from being claimed.
this is the sort of thing that causes families to stop talking to each other i imagine.
but i should be able to make enough working over the summer to buy the things i want, save some money for the future, and play warhammer online.
I can't remember if my DxDiag is my desktop (AMD 4200 dual core, nVidia 6600GT, 1.5GB ram) or my laptop (2.4Ghz Intel dual core, ATI HD 2300, and 2GB ram). I will keel them for keeping me out for system reqs as I'm going to be putting a 8800gt in my desktop in 2 weeks.
well, hopefully the retail game will be a little lenient on system specs and still look and play well. i know one reason why lots of people play warcraft is because the system resources required are so low.
