Good intentions or not, I still believe it was rude. I don't think you were TRYING to be rude, but what you did was, to me, rude.
I didn't rip you a new one, dude. I just said don't do it again.
I don't think it really needs to be discussed further, though.

In the coldest way possible. Sorry, I guess I had the mistaken impression that you were a friendly person who would be a little more polite than "never do that again".
Whoops.
Fucking cry about it, dude
EDIT: Oh dang
I really love this, Pil. Maybe a bit hot on the subject flowers, but still. Nice.

Yalb: Looking good! I'd say try some different angles; seems like most of your shots are taken from more of a standing up, straight on viewpoint. Switch it up a bit and have fun with it

Yeah, I've been tinkering with getting some lower angles. Getting the high stuff is trickier, obviously, but I'm still having a lot of fun with the whole thing.
Really, I'm surprised at how fun this whole attempt at turning photography into a hobby has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process of taking pictures as much as I do.

Thank you.

Thirded.

Before this goes any further, I'm going to jump in here.
I didn't get a chance to see the image that he posted since the post was removed and image removed from the hosting. However, it's not as though he was claiming the photo to be his own. He gave credit where credit that it was your photo to which he made a change. I would think that he felt embarrassed about it since apparently it wasn't very good. This is the internet and sometimes people will use photos for things other than what the photographer was intended. There was a period of time when just about every photo that Lexxie posted of herself was drawn by one person or another without permission.
Now, you have a couple of choices on how you'd like to react. You can be rude and throw a hissy fit about it and tell him to never do it again. Or you could be polite and explain to him that in the future you'd like people to ask you for permission to use your photos for editing or whatever else people may wish to use them for. Of course, this is your choice. However, if you don't want to have conversations like the one with MKR about rudeness then I would suggest that you approach further situations with the latter option that I've suggested.
I don't think there's a need for further discussion.
Oh, I'm not worried. I've got more important things to worry about. This is the easiest issue of my day.
Just for clarification, we are all agreeing that Sheri's Nemo pics are fantastic and professional looking. NOT anything else like my drawings of hamsters weilding blowtorches are the best art ever. (Well, they are!).
Also, a picture:

Yours is nicer, though.
It also reminded me that I never think to shoot flowers.
Good Ol' 50mm prime goodness.

Uncle: why did you colorize that shot? I mean, it looks good, but unless something was weird, I think I'd prefer the real colors...

New Hotness:
not sure I like the pic of the new hotness as much as old busted... finally sold mah Jeep though!

I grayscaled with a hard white-balance shift. It doesn't work as well in color. The yellows kill the water droplets.

Yeah, it was one of those shoot and run things and I didn't have a tripod. I gotta be more aware of the movement in my shots though :^:
Took this over the weekend. I feel like it should be cropped somehow...but I'm not sure *where.* As always, advice and critiques are welcomed and appreciated!
yalborap, Dark_Side, and Sporked: I hate to say it, but I'm not really feeling any of those pictures.
yalborap: As you've said, those are all quite generic. I've seen those pictures a hundred times before, and you're not making me want to see them again. The horizon is crooked in a few of them, and they're just...uninteresting to me. If I remember correctly, you're quite new at this, so don't feel too bad about it, but I think you've got pleanty of work to do.
Dark_Side: The first one isn't bad, but I'm just not a fan of the colours. Perhaps someone else will like it more, but it's just not for me. The second one is very flat and doesn't really have anything to grab my attention. The last one has fairly nice lines, but the subject is just boring to me.
Sporked: Almost the exact same deal. The plant is neat, but the picture is soft, which is especially a problem when you're so close. The second one is very dark, which may have been intentional, but it's also too busy. The last one is well executed, but I find the subject is rather dull. That could just be me, though.
I'm sorry to be kind of mean, but that's just how it is.
Sheri: Blah blah you're good at pictures stop making me look bad...(<3)
pope: That's one of my favourite pictures of yours, and I love a lot of your stuff.
Jamp/bomb: Not a fan of urban photography for the most part, but they're both quite nice.
Uncle Long: Now that is a flower picture. It reminds me of something you'd see on an album cover or something. At first I didn't like that big black line going through the flower on the left, but I've changed my mind. It's rad.
Prosp: I really don't know what to look for in a picture like that, but it looks good to me!
An-D : Yeah, it could use a much tighter crop. The lizard really doesn't jump out much as is. I think if you got rid of a lot of the top left it would be much better.
I'll try and have some stuff up tomorrow.
Long: Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet
Prosp: Very pro, captured the esscence of the car in the scenery I feel *thumbsup*
Poop: Very sculptural and liking the shadow coming through from the back
An-D : I think the crop should cut out the hole on the right and the tree root in the top left to just have the little guy in the top left (of the crop) facing in toward the frame. It's hard to compose these things when you can't tell your model what to do just try and think what is necessary and what is distracting? When you look at the picture where does your eye fall and when you look at the image does it feel right (as in comfortable to look at with enough space around the subject)
Cropping is very much a how it feels thing.
This is very pretty, even though I have no idea what it is.

I like the fountains, fellas.
An-D, that is a lizard! Where'd you shoot that?
Haven't been here in awhile, so I have a few to share. Any crits would be greatly appreciated.
Also, a couple from a music festival I went to here in Washington. Death Cab for Cutie was playing at the time.
Took a panorama of me old high school. Posting the thumbnail in here. I'll only link to the full size file because it would break the forum.

First off, the lizard again!
And for those who asked, I'm pretty sure it is a skink and I took it just off of Lake Hyco in North Carolina. Little dude was just poking his head out of his hole and checking me and my friend out. I hope this crop works out.
And two more...this time with friends of mine as 'candid' subjects:
Skipping some rocks...
Fishing some fish...
Awesome candid! I really suck at candid shots myself.
Not to shoot myself down, but I saw him skipping rocks and I was all 'Do that again, I want to take a picture.' It was pseudo posed....with like three takes before that beauty came out of it.
Thats the trick to candids. Tell them to do it again.
Poot: Those are pretty great. I especially like the kid infront of the water and the last one. It's hard as hell to concerts if the sun isn't up, but you pulled it off well.
Pilcrow: Other than the sky that was already mentioned, I like it. It's simple, but a good way to remember your school by or...something like that.
