There's really no need for everyone else's unless you really want them.

Jon's demo is free roam in sourcetv so everyone should probably watch that one. Otherwise you don't see the whole game, like how Duld ran out of ammo on top of the C tower during the first game and sat there click click clicking for 10 minutes until he got back stabbed

Man the second round of gravelpit where we somehow massacred their 3 heavy defense at B is awesome. Starts at about 23:30 in jon's demo. RandomEngy ubered me and I was thinking "man wat do I do with that." and I didn't kill anyone with it but everybody moved up and flanked the B building where all the heavies had ran into and we just pounded them with rockets and nades, it was pretty great.

Watched those demos just now, good stuff. I had problems getting it to work, so I have the "YARRRR" someone said at the beginning of Goldrush stuck in my head.

yeah that was pretty epic, and i was dead when it ended but i remember hearing tyrannus say he didn't have enough health to make it up there....i didn't know he TRIED though, haha

Maybe one of these days I'll try having two keys bound for voice chat, one ingame and one in Vent.
speaking of Vent, did anyone notice that during gravelpit they said we had to be using Vent? and one of the guys said he they should have done it but if they did they wouldn't have used it to cheat like we did? i found that funny....

Interestingly enough, I don't think I recall a time where I really used Vent while dead to warn people of something they didn't know about. Either they already knew what was coming or I never saw any threat. I would have been fine with a restriction to in-game chat only, but I suppose it'd have to have been an honor system thing. Heck, Zek and Random were using only ingame chat anyway.
I'll have info for you guys coming up in the next few day about an opportunity we might have (some other forums have been following this thread). I have to keep it DL until I know more so... stay tuned for more...
I still hope someone can take my place for the next match organizer, I'll be happy to address this information to you from the people that have contacted me.
Job already mentioned it but the lag we had was probably caused by in game voice chat. I think we had the choppiness problem before in our tourney games and it cleared up after job turned off in game voice.
The PA vent server has channels set up for both RED and BLU teams so it's not really a hassle to use vent.

I might be willing to run the next match. After class ends I will have a lot of downtime, and thus I can probably handle the headaches you all bring along.
We'll see how much of my sanity is left after this Art History final, if I have willpower left, I will be more than willing to do the next one.

I understand what you're saying Jon but I still think it is the voice causing the issue. When the server is voice enabled the server is using CPU cycles to manage the voice as well as a decent amount of bandwidth to send the audio to all the players. If you disable voice it frees that bandwidth and CPU time for running SourceTV which is a lighter per client than the voice. You obviously saw an improvement when everyone left SourceTV because the server was overtaxed at that point. With voice off I bet SourceTV would have been much better.
I sent a message to the organizer of the CP vs Evil Avatar match, but haven't had a response. I was going to just post on the forums, but if someone else has contacted you about a match, let me know.

I had figured both teams were using Vent, and if I had known I would have been fine not using it. That said, I think I called out 2 things over vent when I was dead: 1st thing I realized someone had already killed the guy that I called out, and 2nd thing someone was already shooting at the player by the time I called him out and also calling him out over ingame voice chat.
I really think we were communicating well enough that we didn't need to call things out after death anyways. I mean as I mentioned before, both times I called things out people had already noticed before I even called them out. I think we all were pretty damn good at noticing a teamate being attacked and/or always when someone was killed period. I only had a spy get me once as sniper (that I can recall) and someone had called him out ingame before he even killed me, I just couldn't get un-scoped quick enough.
can someone make a .gif of tyrannus being shot into the air by a sticky and then shooting a rocket into the wall that was directly in front of him and killing himself.
