Hey,
I was looking at the trip plans for PAX, and it seems like there's a lot of us. Do people want to meet up at a bar or arcade, or elsewhere for a night of geekery and games?

    There's actually a PAX board for this stuff. You'd probably have a lot more luck there finding participants.

    Driving through LA traffic with gas prices the way they are is quite daunting.
    Especially now that it is starting to hit the 90s.

    If there's a meet up on a weekend where I don't have to drive for more than an hour, I might consider it.

    Er..maybe my OP wasn't very good. I read the West Coast Train Trip, saw there were a lot of people in Los Angeles taking that train, and then suggested that we meet up somewhere other than PAX, perhaps in Los Angeles itself..

    This subforum is pretty much PAX-oriented (hence it being the PAX forum). Thus the assumption that by meeting up, you meant meeting up to travel to PAX together.

    Couldn't tell you why, none of the other mods are talking. The one who did it probably isn't online right now, but chances are they saw Houk's post and assumed this was about PAX. Good luck with your meet-up. Not a lot of the same people frequent this board and that, so I doubt you'd get the turnout you were expecting from this crowd.

    I think us WCTTers are going to meet up the night before the trip for some reveling.

    I'm up for anything, but I'm not going to put the time into organizing it. :P

    I can't do anything for a couple of weeks though, finals coming up.
