So I was browsing through the Japanese Playstation store and man do they have a ton of great PS1 games for download to the PSP that aren't available on the US store: Biohazard 1-2, Atelier Marie, Popolocrois 1-2, Arc the Lad 1-3, Jumping Flash 2, Alundra, King's Field 1-3, Policenauts, Um Jammer Lammy, the list just goes on and on. Is it possible to purchase these games and put them on your PSP even if you're not in Japan and if so how do you do it?

Doesn't the US have this one?
In any case, yeah, I'm fairly (like 99.9%) certain you can buy them and put them on your PSP.

My mistake. Yes, R-Types is available on the US store. Edited the OP.
Anyway, I think your PSP would for sure play it, and everything would work. You just have to be able to fool the Japanese store into thinking you're Japanese probably. I had a Japanese account and was able to download and play demos from there, but I'm not sure how you'd go about BUYING things. I'm sure someone else has some sort of knowledge on this. I know it's been done.

King's Field 1-3? There was a third one? Or are you talking about "The Ancient City", released on the PS2?

If I'm not mistaken, US King's Field 2 is Japan's King's Field 3.

Really? So we didn't get one? Laaaaaame, those games were awesome and if we did miss out on one that's a shame.
There are only four major banks in Japan that offer credit cards. If your card was not offered by these banks, it will not allow you to buy them.
EDIT:
If you joke that it's probably because they don't want your money... Well, it's because they don't.
I wish I was making that up.
Or, you know, you could do it the easy way and import PSN cards...
Just go to one of the following links, order a card and I believe they email you the code, which you then input into your Japanese PSN account. Here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.
WonderHippie: Seeing as Policenauts never got a US or European release, your chances of it appear on the US Store are at 0%.

No fucking way.
Are these in Japanese, or should I wait for them to put it on the US store?
