    I used to do something like this.

    Solder of Fortune. Or SoFII if you can run it. Tons of fun, runs on old computers.

    Also, and this game is only sometimes an FPS, but either Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy are awesome on LAN.

    Built on Quake 3, but you don't need to own the game. Completely free, plays like Natural Selection. Great game.
