ITT I am getting a motorcycle

I got a new job that is only a 15 minute highway drive from my apartment, but now that fuel is consistently raping me in my asshole I have decided to purchase a two-wheeled conveyance. Right now I'm thinking about getting a 2008 Honda Nighthawk CB250, just over $3,000 with a 250cc engine. It can go up to 75MPH and gets around 80MPG which is significantly better than the 22 I get from my jeep. The jeep mileage sucks, but is a necessary evil come December when anything without 4 wheel drive crashes into a snowbank. Any other suggestions? Help?

Saw another a while back that happened to an older man that was riding in the middle of the day. Someone just didn't see him and pulled out. He was able to veer a bit, but his right leg got crushed between his bike and the car. I'm almost certain he lost that leg.
He was quite flat by the time it stopped.

I'm watching him for a while, I see him go too far as he slides into another lane, he corrects himself and all is good. Or so I thought. Next thing I know, I see him pull the same move again. I took my eyes off of him for a brief second to look at the traffic ahead of me. When I look up next, I just see the bike, by itself go a little bit before crashing into the back end of a car.
Dude fell off his bike, got ran over, and smashed his bike(sans him) into another vehicle, this is why I'm never going to get a motorcycle.
We need to lower the age of driving to 10, so hopefully we can weed out the bad drivers via natural selection.
