Metal gear solid 4 - limited edition

I just have a few questions that have been bugging me. I live in Australia, and Konami only allocated if I read correctly, 500 units of the limited edition. SO.

1. Is the blu-ray making of DVD region locked? Does anyone know?
2. Is MGO region locked?

I can't seem to find the answers to these questions anywhere, or they conflict with each other. Does anyone know what is actually going on? I can't pre-order it here anymore because pre-orders have run out, so I'd have to order from the US.

    Yes. I know the game isn't region locked, but heard conflicting reports of whether the making of blu-ray was, or whether MGO is locked to region.

    The mgo beta was region locked, but I have no idea about the full game.

    argh damn :( I dunno,I really want the LE, but if it doesn't have a playable MGO, that's no good.

    i thought it was just the gunmetal grey ps3 that's limited to 500?

    i find it highly unlikely that MGO or the blu-ray would be region locked. blu-ray region locking is limited to a few distributors (disney and fox, maybe?) and separating online communities by region has never happened previously. as far as i know all online ps3 games connect through the same servers, no matter the game's origin or the account you've signed in with

    but it's konami and their online shit is weird

    I thought it happened with PES? Which was a Konami game?

    Does anyone know of any UK online game distributors that ship to Australia? LewieP I'm looking at you! Maybe I should buy the UK version just in case.

    Edit: its also 160 dollars here. Quite ridiculous. How does the gamestop site work in terms of the preorder art book? Do they just send it to you with the game?
