I wish there were more pretty pets. I camped Winterspring for a few days to get Rak'shiri a while back so I could have a cool unique looking pet. Now it seems like nearly all the 60 Hunters on my server have one.

I always thought that MMO's would be much cooler if there wasn't such a thing as the internet. Information is just too easily shared.

I remember playing a game called Land of Destruction on old time BBS's, it was fun, because the guy that orginially made it put in a lot of neat things and didn't tell anyone. The code was also modifiable so that the person running a particular board could add other things.
It was a really fun post-apocalyptic game.
The lack of easy to get information on it kept the surprises surprising.
I have a beautiful hunter mod. I cant for the life of me remember the name. It does come from one of the best made Mod sites out there. Basically When the tooltip for a beast pops up, it tells you if its tameable, and what skills it will have when tamed. They will be green if you dont have them, and grey if you do.

I'm leveling a hunter right now.. it's a lot of fun, but I'm taking my sweet time because leveling is a pain.
Leveling a hunter is a pain, or leveling in general? Because leveling a hunter is the easiest way to go in WoW.
Leveling in general.. it was pretty fun the first two times around.. but 25-30 has been EXTREMELY boring for me right now. I just can't wait to get to level 40 and wear some SM gear.. :winky:

I totally agree that levelling with any class between 25 and 40 is a chore. My Priest is level 25 and is now in my danger zone. I abandon most characters between 25-35 and reroll.
I have a slew of characters who are between 25 and 35. Past 35 isn't so bad as you feel like you can taste level 40.
They need to make some more interesting quests for this level range, I guess there's always Gnomeregan.
48-58 was horrid for me. I love level 33, because my favorite place to quest ever is Thousand Needles. Of course, all the quests there barely get you a level, but I still look forward to it every time.
I generally have a hard time getting a character past the newb zones up to about desolace level. Soon as I hit desolace things start going faster for awhile, then I hit another slump until about the hinterlands through felwood. which leaves you in the low 50's which just suck, cause nobody wants to run you through brd or sunken temple a billion times just so you don't have to grind lvls

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.
Leveling tangent - ST is bullshit - the rewards suck for the time and effort involved, unless you're a warlock, possibly a rogue (since all you have to do with a rogue is kill one of the smaller dragons). BRD however is something that any 60 that isn't Tier-1'd out should be running, since there is a bucketload of loot in there. Commander Gor'shak can burn, though. Screw him.

My 60 less-than-ideally equipped Shaman yearns for BRD action. The only time I've been in was the other night with a group ranging from 53-58 and me. I was tanking too, miraculously we didn't wipe but it was late and we only got to some Dwarf boss with two golem guards, then 2 of us had to go to bed.
I'll definately be doing a lot more BRD runs though, hopefully with a proper group.

Even with the improvement to BRD loot, it's still behind Scholo/Strat/UBRS, at 60. The difference is, it looks awesome, and those other three don't(or not as much).
Every single class should do their ST class quest if you're level 50, even druids with their terrible, terrible rewards.
So my hunter (my first character) is 29 (should be 30 tonight, assuming Im not at the office too late) and Im wondering what fun & frolic (read: dungeons) I should look to complete over the next 10 levels or so? I keep hearing/reading all this bad stuff about levels 30-40 with regards to extreme boredom, so I want to be sure I'm doing everything I can to keep it "upbeat". I've done VC, Stockades and BFD up to this point. Whats next? Im alliance, but are there any horde instances I should look at doing as well?

You should be looking at Gnomeregan next, and grabbing the Triprunner Dungarees. Also the Scarlet Monastery is coming up as well. If you get bored of Stranglethorn Vale, there's Desolace and the Badlands as well.
So I went crazy last night. I did my first couple of AV and found my DPS to be lacking, my red kitty died a lot in the zerg before he could mess priests up and my shots didn't do the damage I desired so I respecced.
Yes, this contravenes Huzzah's guide to posting inane crap but I am a hunter noob. She dinged 56 last night and AV proved to me anyway that there was much more dps from this build than the 31 BM / rest in MM I had previously.
I went down the survival tree first and cherry picked the talents I thought would improve my personal DPS the most. 24/23 is a wierd build by all accounts I guess...

Things are more like they are now than they ever have been before.
That was the conundrum, my agility is 262 self buffed (ie, no buffs... i'm a hunter) and everything I've read recommends going 31MM, 20Surv if you have <350 agility. I did trueshot aura in a previous build and I wasn't 100% impressed and I wanted some surv talents hence 24/23.
OK, now onto why we don't want to hear about your spec ideas. I want this to be very clear. Your spec is not original. It is not creative. It is not a beautiful and unique snowflake. It is not only plainly obvious, but 200,000 people have already tried it and specced out of it. "Going disc!" or "Tri-spec!" is not cutting edge or unique. There are tradeoffs to specs… sort of… but seeing as you can switch specs for virtually nothing… who cares? Your spec might be the exact worst possible combination of talents that you could possibly pick (meaning you probably have a lot in holy)… just respec. But whatever you do, do this without letting us know about it. Because we don't care.

I have this very same build, and it rocks. Couldn't be happier with it.
Well, the nice thing about Lightning Reflexes is that it adds 1.15 AGI for anything that gives you AGI, so in my mostly blue gear (3/8 Giantstalkers), I have 463 AGI raid buffed. A friend of min is pushing 550 with his gear and raid buffs. That's 1100 RAP right there, plus 110 for AoH, and 110 for hunter's mark, unless someone has IHM, in which case it gives you +123 (I think). 1333, plus any +AP gear you might have. Win.
Oh, and add another 100 if you have anyone in your group with TSA.
A common mistake is to compare TSA to LR. When you take TSA, you should also end up with Barrage and Ranged Weapon Specialization. When you take LR, you should also end up with Killer Instinct.
In an ideal raid situation, calculations have shown TSA, Barrage, and RWS out DPS LR and KI until you have around 450 AGI, unbuffed. My opinion is that it's really not worth it until you over 520 AGI.

And you guys need to get your ZG trinkets because they rape.

Also a useful pet feeder on there.
Yes, that's what I was arguing.
Totally.
Explicitly cat form feral druids are easier by far to level. Assuming you don't want to do instances of course.
Seriously, Whirlwind the motherfuckers.
They fixed it!

Wouldn't the lack of Internet make the whole idea of MMO's rather...what's the word...impossible?
At any rate, I just restarted the game and rolled a hunter. I have a big gun and a white wolf...what else could I want?

But you don't. The 50s, while long levels anyways, are brimming with quests to do.
It's 40-50 that is a complete and utter drag.
Ugh, I have 2 characters I stopped at 42 ...
My hunter stopped at 35
