I'm just noticing now that for the "GAIA" on the box art for Illusion of Gaia, they totally ripped off the font from the Zelda series, right down to the diamond-shaped inlays in the first letter.
Well, Nintendo published Illusion of Gaia in North America. I think Nintendo went ahead and did this with the box art (the JPN boxart was different) because Nintendo probably sought to draw some parallels between the games (Zelda and Ill. of Gaia). Nintendo made some effort to push Gaia in North America. I remember seeing it in those SNES demo kiosk things.
I'm trying to think of the name of two Doom books I bought way back when. One is by Chris Klein (?) and describes how he made each level in his pretty good (at the time) megawad. The other is how to create your own Doom WADs and modifications.
Okay, the level book was The Lost Episodes of Doom by Christian Klie and the WAD editing book was the Doom Hacker's Guide by Hank Leukart. Jesus, that takes me back.
If anyone else owned or owns those books, let's be friends.
I have a crap-ton of old Apple II games with their various bizarre packaging. Infocom would range from the truly spartan to an embarrassment of riches, when it came to their packaging. I always had a soft spot in my heart for Seastalker, although I couldn't tell you why.
I also have, in original packaging, copies of various Sierra and Lucasarts adventure games. Somewhere, in a box in my parents' house, a pair of 3d glasses with a funny nose sits next to the audio cassette that came with Loom.

Makes sense. Though if NA was full of gamers like me, they wouldn't have had to make too much of an effort to push Gaia. I'd play it right now if I could.
Haha. I remember when I got Illusion of Gaia for the SNES way back when, it came with a T-shirt with that artwork. I wonder whatever happened to that....
A few years ago I saw a Comic Book Guy look-a-like wearing that Illusion of Gaia shirt in the home & garden section of a Lowe's - it didn't seem to fit him well.

I saw someone the other day with a Metroid on it and "Do not Feed".
There's a lot of stuff in the closet and back home that should probably be posted in here. Will do if I can find a camera.

Lets see, My asteroids deluxe machine and my MINT black 2600. In box with manuals. No scraches. none. I should take pics of that beauty.
I still have shelved plans of crafting my crown jewel of my collection, Which is a Ms-pacman coffee table with an LCD screen that accepts an arcade resolution. I want it to look elegant, functional and awesome. I will be hard pressed to make it a 10/10 kind of project.
I have every game released by Square in the US through the PSOne except for two (Even Rad Racer for NES). Tobal 1 and Ehrgeiz are the only ones Im missing.
All of the Suikoden series released stateside in perfect condition
Lunar SSSC and EBC collectors editions for PSOne
Collectors Edition GBA SP Import from Japan. Metallic Orange, Blue Buttons, Konoha Emblem "Paint style" on the top (Naruto edition)
