Today was hot as hell. I tried to go to sleep but woke up without any sheets on me, writhing around, trying to get comfortable.
Fucking heatwave. Working at night and sleeping during the day sucks when its like 96 outside turning your bedroom into a sweltering 'Nam.

You're lucky, actually. Coming months are supposed to be the coolest of the year (relatively speaking) since, you know, it's technically almost winter there now because the southern hemisphere is just a cah-raaaaazy place.
the hill the fire had started on is pure black, and it almost reached the rancher's house on the top of the hill next to it. the other fire was by the golf course, and i hear it went far too. maan that was scary
