Connecting my Motorola PEBL to computer via USB cable

I have a Motorola PEBL that I have a ton of photo's on. I am trying to connect it to my computer on Window's Vista so that I can just download them, but I can't find any software to allow me to do this. When I hook the phone up it automatically tries to find the software but it always fails, and my attempts to find some have failed, unless I want to spend $30.

There has to be free software somewhere...

I don't want to pay $$$ and I also don't want to spend hours sending pic msgs to my e-mail to get my photos off the damn phone.

If anyone can help me, it's you guys.

Thanks for your help in advance!!

First, grab the Motorola USB drivers. You can get them from Motorola directly here (reg. required, but free).

If the phone is then set up and recognized, you may be able to just copy them off. With my Razr2, it's recognized as a drive in Explorer on my Vista machine, and I can just copy photos right from the drive.

That's the best, most free, and most legal way to do it. (There are lots of legal ways, but it can cost money)

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
