    You need need to start makin your colors less muddy. The colours plus the way you smudge the strokes just don't go together very well. Also, a sword plus a gun?

    Beginning of some illustrations for class.

    Better make it quick, I'm planning on killing and eating Wakka, so I can harness his art powers for my own.
    That's how it works right?

    You'd think wakk would be phased by all the people threatening to consume parts of him, or otherwise violate him to get skill.

    Just remember: the term "sell out" is something struggling artists made up to insult successful artists. There's nothing wrong with selling stuff that doesn't have 'meaning' to support your ability to produce work you really care about.

    $300-$500 for a great illustration is still pretty cheap—and if you can break out of the girly niche you can do even better painting magazines covers, theater posters, etc.

    Yeah, ever heard of Mucha? Most of his work was commercial, but the awesome art usually had nothing to do with the product and was always women.

    But man do I hate it when a person paints solely women.

    @Bacon: That is awesome.
    @penguins: I had that you can do that the first time you use your tablet.
    @Mykonos: Wait, did the face look like that before? that right there is a step in the right direction. apply tat detailed, smooth look to everything else and it may support your pieces.

    I think it looks weird because there really should be more distiction on the forms (other shades or atleast some kind of form.

    Also, the hands bug me I know many comics do that little curl thing with the hands... but really very few people (if anyone) does that and I can't stand it when it gets drawn on so many people. However, that's just my point of view.

    Agreed. Also, those with their hands out of their pockets arms are way too short. Any wrist that ends at the hip has a severe problem.

    Firstly, Brokecracker. Their back legs being shaded doesn't bother me at all, really. Except that they're all in the exact same position. Arms are too short, yes. Hands curling up too much.
