The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
So, I've heard people say they loved the "illustrative look" but this is the first time I see it for myself.
I was not prepared.
My pants now require washing.
the look of the cliffs and the stuff off in the distance in that one shot in the canyon. that looks really really excellent. definitely keeping an eye on this.
This is exactly what I want the next Zelda to look like. Exactly.
Twilight Princess, graphically, was such a step back. Wind Waker, while as a complete game may be inferior, visually it was breaking new ground and I hate how Nintendo abandoned that to satiate Nintendo fans just wanting a 'realistic' Zelda, when a 'realistic' Zelda these days is the epitome of bland.
I mean they did a decent job, but come on. Wind Waker had oodles more charm, flair and style.

Except when it descended into acres of monotonous grey for the later dungeons, this is true.

Except the coolest part of the game was 'monotonous gray', or at least part of it was.
Visiting the old Hyrule in black and white was pure fucking awesome, followed by the influx of color when you grabbed the master sword, it was beautiful.

That section was indeed some kind of brilliant.
I was more referring to the Earth and Air temples.
I was more referring to the Earth and Air temples.
Except the Air temple was actually colored in green and brown, and was awesome. Especially the boss.
Dedee de de de dee de de dee, de de dee...
Brown rather than grey, then.
Not that it was a bad dungeon, but it looked dull compared to the things the game had previously shown itself capable of.

Though I completely disagree with TP looking anything but awesome, I agree that a Zelda game in this art-style would be fucking incredible. These screens actually looks like a good middle ground between cel-shading and realism. "Normal" looking characters, but given the indelible flow of a "cartoon".

If you were to check the page's source code, you'd notice I limed this twice. It cannot be said enough.
As for mountain-climbing with sandals: The prince can do anything, from reversing time to smoldering with generic rage. I think he walk on walls with sandals.

Concept.
My second though was "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!"
The last two in particular look more like two dimensional artwork than screenshots
Color me impressed

This is the first time in a while I've seen screens which look better on my PC than in a glossy mag.
Absolutely gorgeous man. Seriously, wow.

It's ubisoft, so:
360, PS3, and PC.
With some weird Nintendo DS offshoot.

Very pretty - but I'd bet the lighting on that lava pit one has been slightly touched up.
Ok. I am considering a PS3, so this is a nice plus

Anyway. This looks incredible.
Nice to see the scimitar engine getting some more use though.
NO WAY.
this looks too good. What a wonderful use of graphics and art style
I mean, it looks gorgeous, but... I dunno, Ninja Muad'ib doesn't really gel with me.
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
I even love the ninja-claws. They are some of my favorite weapons that would almost never work worth shit in direct combat outside of fiction.
Yeah, they should just make it a new franchise. But, of course, it's much more safe to transpose an established name onto a game.
But yes, that is fucking gorgeous.
dream a little dream or you could live a little dream
sleep forever if you wish to be a dreamer

Apparently he is a thief who unleashed some crazy demons and has to seal them back up or be cursed forever
So if they do this right, we'll get more snarky banter and less smoldering generic rage
