It'd be nice if one of the servers could put this as only / one of two maps for tonight so we can test, it looks neat and I'd like to play "new" quality maps. I tested it briefly in spectator and a little bit as a soldier, here's what I observed:

    Stage 1:
You can rocketjump over the fence to the left! You can also stand on the sloping rock wall in front of it.
Riding the cart, I got stuck in the ceiling as it moved over the first cap.
Walls inside the old cap barn are black, lighting issue or intentional?
Floor doesn't go up to the wall next to the front dropdown hole.
Walking up the ladder to the house in front of the attacker spawn, you are pushed out a bit by the slope of the roof. Nothing major, but a bit annoying.
Cart shook a bit as it moved over the early track part where it's covered by the dirt. Probably doesn't matter, I just noticed it as I was standing on the top of the cart.
In front of the final cap, inside, behind the door, there's a bit much clipping as you can't walk right up to the wall. Might be better so you don't get stuck in the door if you're walking backwards and trying to get out, but it was noticable while looking at the wall. Probably intentional.

    Stage 2:
White track part where the track splits in the tunnel.
I like: Only one medkit upstairs in final building before cap. As a pyro I hate that camping demomen got two medium healths on the regular dustbowl (then again, there's often ubers coming out of that gate).

    General:
Glass window textures are messed up, there's the checkered purple "missing" texture. Saw this in:
Stage 1 red spawn / Stage 2 blue spawn.
Stage 3: Front building windows, left wall behind that building, tunnel from defender spawn to first cap, back defender spawn.

By the way, is there a way to make your private server not affect stats and achievements, so I can run around without getting new records for time lived?

Very cool! Thanks. I'm making a list of things to fix, and I'll try to address all of these, plus others I have run into.

I can't figure out the getting stuck on top of the cart thing. I had the same thing happen to me. I will have to look into this more.

I am awesome at taking down lots of SGs at random times during the match. Sometimes I'll hear over voice chat a medic working up an uber and then charging in with a pyro or heavy, then asking where the sentry or sentries went.

But strangely I am really useless once I'm ubered. I think since the beta my lack of voice chat always made me skipped over when it came time to hand out invulnerabilities, even when I felt I could do a lot with them as I started to become a more capable demoman. So the situation trained me over all this time to operate as a lone wolf, and when I generally try to protect a medic who is healing me (hard to do with pipe bombs), I still get intimidated when a medic with a full meter right clicks on me, because I never really learned how to deal with charging the open while everyone runs away from you. It's a different dynamic.

Summary: I'm a lone wolf. I'm so badass. Firman Fortress 2.

The trick is, get reloaded. When you see a medic jump in front of you, he is ready to charge. A smart medic will act as a shield, running in front and most likely getting shot at over you. During these moments pretend you are a lone wolf, except you are shiny, and you have 10 seconds for people to not worry about you.
Actually, I guess it is pretty stressful.

I just want the UT Domination gamemode to appear in TF2- that's the one where teams generate points based off how long they have a CP under their control, but they can be recaptured by the opposition and capping them all isn't an instant win. It'd be seriously awesome, and I reckon a full, interlinked version of Hydro would be perfect for it.

It's a good idea to add the servers to your favorites. Do this by clicking the servers button in Steam, then the favorites tab in the server browser and then the click add button. Now copy and paste the server IPs (and ports) found in the OP into this box.

Or if we didn't have way more medics than neccesary on public servers because of the unlockables. Although that is almost over and you no longer see teams of 50% medics all the time.

I'm having weird ideas for maps but I'm no good with making good looking maps in hammer--I know how to use it though, at least. Maybe I can just go with a weird theme, like a VR simulator sort of thing. But that would sort of go against TF2's style... ah, well.

One of the ideas is a weird CTF map. You would have a fairly large and open (to avoid chokepoints and sentry nest buildups) central area with the capturing point for both teams in the middle. The team spawns would be here, two, across from each other but fairly separate--maybe with a wall between. Then you would have three long prongs coming out from the center, with each prong holding a flag at the end. Each prong would have multiple paths that overlap and intersect often, and probably wouldn't be exactly straight, either. The idea would be to adapt to the situation and decide/work as a team--ie., sending teams of three with a medic each to each point, or getting a defense set up at the entrance to one prong while the rest of the team tries to dominate another prong to get its flag. A mock-up:
    ctfmockup1.GIF

Now that I'm done with school I might have time to actually do stuff like this :D I love creating stuff like maps in games but I never have time.

Soldier is by far my worst class. I have good moments where I can get into the top 5 with it, but I just can't handle the slowness and leading with rockets and jumping all the goddamn time and oh god the reload time. It drives me insane.

I find I use my saw a lot less now. Really I only pull it out if I can get a quick hit on a heavys back and leg it with the extra 25% uber or if I ubered to save myself (or ubered too late and let the guy in front of me die) I sometimes try and pull out the saw, hit and then switch back to the medigun. I think its because I'm not in the times of 'you're going to die anyway so do some damage!' much because I run away firing the blutsaugher.

    I love my vamp gun.

Also its quite easy with a demoman uber to take out a sg (I'm an awful demo and I can't get two if they're not beside eachother). I just need to actually tell them what to do more as too often I assume they know about the sgs in the hut covering the CP of Dustbowl 2-1.

    He ran to the cp.

'Please tell me you see the sgs. Oh God please tell me you see the sgs!'

That was the game were as soon as Firman joined he was the demoman I was going to uber.

Oh, and never uber me. I can't handle the pressure and always feel like I do more without it than with it.

Valve are making class unlockables. So far they've only done the medic weapon unlocks and they're tied to the new 36 medic achievements. You get a new unlock for every 12 medic achievements you do. Apparently its the pyro that's getting the next batch of unlocks. The level thing doesn't mean much as all the weapons are supposed to be balanced and thus a different option and not an upgrade (but I shall forever be a blutsaugher-medigun-ubersaw medic).

The medic has new items to be unlocked. The new medigun makes the user fire crits for 10 seconds, the new needle gun sucks health but can't crit. The new bonesaw adds to the uber meter.

Each new weapon has a Lv. number that we don't really know what it means.

The critzkreig is something like level 3, then theres level 7 needle gun
