What is Gleemax? It's a simple online service made by the guys at Wizards of the Coast. Some of you who have been following the development the Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition might recall WOTC mentioning the Gleemax service to help DM and players get their own online virtual table.
Surprising enough, Gleemax is also going to host some online board games from Avalon Hill. Right now it's in Alpha state, hence it's free, but it will become a subscription based service later on.
Anyways, onto the board games.
Vegas Showdown
Now out of print and will never see the light of day, this game lets you take control of your own casino. Your goal is to make your casino the most famous (victory points, not money or population!) and you do this by auctioning rooms for your casino like slots, restaurants, sports room, etc.
Acquire
Think Monopoly, only better. You basically place property in a large grid each turn. If two placed properties are adjacent to one another, a company is formed. You invest stock into the newly formed company and as more properties are placed to make it bigger, the stock becomes more valuable. However, you can only get your money back IF another company absorbs it!
A reprint of this game is coming out in June.
Robo Rally
I'm not a big fan of this one, but the basic idea is you control these robots who are in a race from one flag to another. The challenge? You are forced to "program" your bots by using cards dealt to you to make their own movement. You will have also have to worry about the obstacles in the course that tend to screw your movements up.
Axis and Allies
World War 2 + Complicated Risk + Five static countries in teams of two = Phun.
The rules of all these boards games are on the site, although if you want some video tutorials, I would suggest going to
http://www.boardgameswithscott.com/ to watch excellent descriptions of some of these games.

Used to play Robo Rally all the time with a buddy back in the day.
Is this all multiplayer or what? Axis and Allies would take forever.
Yes and it has AI.
