    Yeah, nope.

People talk about how this game has more instances than WoW. While it's true in the larger world, it's the opposite in dungeons. If your group is in a 6-man dungeon, you're doing it with other 6-man teams in the same dungeon instance. You won't be spending all your time in the borderlands when you hit 80, and you'll still need to watch yourself.

I've never seen that, all the dungeons I've been in since tortage have been individually instanced.

I heard the instance in the Noble District isn't. In fact, I'm seeing quite a bit of complaining about that one due to the long respawn timers on bosses or something. I'm not quite high enough level to see for myself.

Anything I've done, up to lvl 45 (not counting the whole Tortage bit), has been individually instanced either as a single player instance or with my group.

I'm usually TERRIBLE with altitis. I made a Ranger at first and got her to like 10 or so, and switched to necro and then guardian. Niether of which made it much past 10. Went back to Ranger and now shes 24 and I dont really have much of a need to alt at this point.

My ranger just seems to be really dynamic. I get to fire at mobs from long range + snares + traps. Fun fun. (bow combos do STUPID damage)

I can hold my own in melee with my DW (perhaps shield would be better, given my squishy nature). Only issue being my defense and/or hp pool. But if its 2-3 mobs im usually ok, much more than that im usually toast (thinking about investing in AoE Snare for just such occations)

Plus the Hide/Skulk aspect of alot of dungeons keep me entertained regularly. I've stealthed into several dungeons to steal the quest item and/or kill the boss and leave. While all the minions have no idea ive even been there.

but its more of a common area like any other outdoor zone. there are individual instances inside of it

Of course it won't because of open world pvp (which, btw, includes areas that are underground or in buildings. I'd wager the areas your thinking of are not actually marked as Dungeons but that's just how you think of them).

I don't see why a healer needs to necessarily be nerfed to the point of needing to group to get anywhere? Healing's not even the same in this game as other games, there are no single target heals, they're all hots (and one emergency heal). And quite frankly, it would suck balls to have to have a group to make any kind of progress. I do think single target dps on necros (and probably demos, but I've not played with one) needs to be upped. I actually outdps my brother on his necro right now even on single targets and that's just wrong.

And oddly, my level 28 Priest of Mitra versus a level 28 Bear Shaman in my group, I'm outhealed. His HOTs overwrite mine.

According to the class desc, Mitra is supposed to be the strongest healing class....

No, he's overwriting your personal PoM heal, which is half as strong as your heals on other people.

Also, it works both ways. If you use your PoM heal, it overwrites his personal BS heal, which is half as good as his heals on other people.

I have noticed a lot of people from that guild running around, which seems strange since that is one of the dumber guild names I've ever seen.

Regarding alt-itis, it is still hitting me pretty hard too. I finally got my Barbarian out of Tortage, but today I've been playing my HoX, who is level 12 currently. I also cannot shake the nagging desire to roll a Guardian.

I keep wanting to play a mage, but with 2 of the 3 mage sub-types gimped, I'm kinda stuck with the HoX... not that it's a bad choice all-around, but every time I turn into a demon, my hairstyle changes and turns white.

I haven't checked in a while but regarding zerg guilds I believe Art of War is ours on Stormrage. At first I thought it was awesome because I saw Art of War and a guild called :HoS:, which made me think it was AoW and HoS from Darktide.

But then when trying to find the PA guild in the guild search I saw AoW had the most people of any guild and the DT AoW was a small group.

But yeah anyway I kill any AoW person I see that I can.

I have severe alt-itis, so far I rolled:
    - A demo who is level 20 and I will play more when demo's are worth a damn
    - A guardian, just couldn't get into it, maybe 'cause I wanted to use polearms and all the ones I saw were really lame
    - A ranger, probably get back to this one, it was pretty cool
    - A ToS, powerful but i don't like lightning in this game (personal thing, nothing is inately wrong with lightning and for a ToS it's stupidly powerful)
    - And now a PoM, which I am liking even though low level heals don't seem to be worth a damn

Yeah I hate the old timers too and I just don't know why. But for some reason I see'em and the homicidal urges begin.

I'm pretty sure fatalities are based off of chance and have a possibility of occurring when you finish an enemy with a combo. Then you have items that increase yor fatality %. Getting a fatality is actually a lot more useful than just eye candy. One time I had 100hp left while fighting a couple guys. I fatalitied one and the invulnerability let my hp regen to about 600 so I could finish the rest off. The 2-chain kill gives you extra exp.

    Arthil wrote: »

It's not my fault he chose to be in a guild that has stolen about 15 quest mobs from me. He's lucky I even grouped him. It was also less than 5 minutes after two of them had taken a mob from me after I had invited them.

I'm not just going to let a bunch of douchebags walk all over me because they have more members than anyone.

After you kill one mob, there's a timer or something.. you have to kill another mob rather quickly to get the 'chain kill'. I've gotten a 3 chain before. I imagine classes with lots of AoEs can get much higher chains, which is part of the reason why ToSes were so powerful.
