I've always wanted to play some sort of social table top game, like DnD or even the pokemon tcg, but I literaly don't know ANYONE in my area who plays them. All the pokemon leauges in my area are on Saturday morning (Japanese class) or Wednesday night (science discorse). I'm homeschooled, so I can't put up a flyer or something in my school. I don't have one!... any advice on getting started?

Where do you buy your cards? If there's a local game store, I'd suggest asking them.

yea, check your local gaming store, as the clerks if they know of any groups that get together to play, some gaming stores even play host to weekly gaming groups.

http://www.meetup.com/topics/games/rpg/ found this on a quick google search.

There is also a really nice website dedicated to this, but I can not remember the URL for the life of me. Someone else will know it.

Local gaming/hobby stores, maybe even local LANs. Ask the owners if they know anyone who has table top game nights or whatever.

Hard to tell you any specifics since I have no idea of your location.

beware! the local game store is generally filled with the super uber nerds. You know, 40 year olds that live in their mothers basements and annoying 12 year olds too.

    but sometimes they are alright.

You might want to try comic book stores, independent book/music stores, or college campuses as well.

Have you considered asking in the CF forums? They talk tabletop gaming and such and maybe they are in your area or know of someone who is?
