Spanish bands/musicians?

Can anyone reccomend some good Spanish speaking bands and/or musicians?

I'm taking Spanish next semester, and I figure having some catchy songs on my iPod will only encourage me to learn the language more.

    I'll admit that I discovered these guys via guitar hero, but Heroes del Silencio is a good place to start.

    The kitchen guys at work were also a big fan of this guy. They made fun of me because they said I look like him.

    If you want to understand the language via music, steer clear from folk and ballad songs since they tend to do a lot of play on words that could confuse you. I am not too big into Spanish rock anymore but some of the bands you should check out from that genre are:

    Juanes (pop-ish rock)
    Maná
    Heroes del Silencio
    Jaguares
    La Ley (been around since the '80s, one of my favorites)
    Los Enanitos Verdes (older stuff is heavy rock)

    Todosantos is a band a friend of mine from Venezuela gave to me to listen to. Check out their CD Aeropuerto.
