What did you do at WotC? And how can you get me a job there?
I was only retail but it was the best job ever. Until Hasbro (who'd bought them) closed them down I was readily considering taking a full time position there. It will always be my favorite job.

But sadly they no longer exist and I can no longer shoot Magic kids and their card tables with an air zooka.

So, one of you aussies. Why's your country always banning videogames?
They don't ban them, they just refuse classification. Which one is it this time?

Not one in particular, just the usual suspects. Looking through controversial games, it seems like Australia has the highest RC or equivalent ratio of any country.

In any case, I guess they don't have the authority to ban the game from the country? I'm obviously inclined to agree with you, but everything I've read up to now must have pretty liberal definitions, seeing as they always phrase it like,(on phantasmagoria),"The Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) banned the game regardless of the option in Australia, and some retail outlets in the United States did the same."

It was awesome. Board games, card games, D&D, puzzles, and the best people I ever worked with. Actual manager's quote after I cursed in front of a customer while describing a game to another customer: "We looked it up in the employee hand book and it said profuse swearing. After a manager's meeting we decided that more than every other word was profuse, so he's fine."

I also got to rearrange the entire puzzle section and made it beautiful.

Also, annoying the Magic and Yu Gi Oh kids was a high point in our days as well.

    --

Yu-Gi-Oh is the only game I have on my Gameboy that I actually play regularly (I also have Golden Sun and Castlevania AOS, and play them once in awhile). The way it works is, every time you win a game against the computer, you get a booster pack. Otherwise playing with other people works the same as with the cards. You just don't have to worry about blowing endless amounts of money on it, and you can play anywhere.

I...'acquired' a GBA game once to get a feel for what it was like. It was nice enough, but the iteration I played lacked the nuance I crave in CGG.

Oh, and when we realized that the theft detection sensor wouldn't work ever again so we started sticking the magnetic strips to people's bags or leaving them on the floor for people to walk on.

Because we were really bored when not talking about games.

In hindsight I can see why we went out of business.
