I was having problems with solo 2 until I figured out that I needed to start two-handed tapping for some of the ridiculously long repeating sections. I made a Youtube video to try and help my brother who was stuck. Maybe it'll help someone else too.

Finally! Some Offspring! Though I would have liked something older, but I haven't listened to anything from their new album, so I'll probably give Hammerhead a listen before buying. I'm definintely going for the Avenged Sevenfold songs, or at least, Afterlife. I kind of wished they had put Almost Easy in, but I'll have to give Critical Acclaim a listen before buying as well.
This is pretty great. I'm not interested in Doolittle, so it's nice to know something will be coming out that I'll enjoy next week.

I hope they keep up the one-album-each-month trend, which will mean we're due to hear news, hopefully, of what next month's (or maybe next 3 month's) album will be.
Oh man, Offspring eh? That may tempt me to get RB finally.
Wait, only one song, eh?
Still worth it. I'm taking the same stance I did when they came out with Hysteria: It's better than nothing, and if enough people buy this one song they might release a pack!
-Dude posts on ScoreHero some questionable screen caps of a supposed MTV commercial regarding last week's MTV2 pack.
-Someone points out some blurry text underneath "...And Justice for All" that looks like "as made famous by the Pretenders" and some people call bullshit.
-More people claim to have seen the commercial despite Harmonix's claim that it doesn't exist.
-Someone finally records the commercial in not-so-good quality and posts it on YouTube.
Nonetheless, it's a heck of a guess if it is an elaborate lie. :P
Fuck yes. About damned time some Offspring has been added. I will be buying their new album on tuesday as well. But now that we've gotten something from them, maybe we will eventually get a pack of older songs. I still fucking want Pay the Man more than any other song of theirs.
Considering I have extreme rage problems, I could do with a bit of assistance in trying to pass the last bit in Don't Fear the Reaper on Hard (you know the section)
I seriously cannot fathom how you are meant to keep a rhythm there???

I assume you're talking about drums?
If your life is high enough you can just ignore the off-beat red notes at the end and manage to beat it as long as you get everything else.
Don't Fear the Reaper really is a terribly difficult song.
You just have to practice and get lucky enough to get the overdrives after the guitar solo section, so you can use them to help coast you through the end.
Thanks for the help guys, I'll have another go when I don't feel like throwing my sticks through the teevee. And yes I meant drums, sorry for the lack of clarification. :P

Haha. I wish I could point and laugh... but I completely agree. I'll sing it, too.
Huzzah!
I don't think we can be friends anymore.

/cry
i'm going to do it anyway of course, i'm just saying.
:?:
What a twist!
Guess that MTV leak is right then.
but I was sort of joking.
also, Pixies album doesn't seem as good as I thought it would =( I'll probably get 1 to 3 songs, but no full album download this time.
YES! IS THIS REAL?
Wait no. I don't want that.
Green Day - Dookie
or...
Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning
or...
Goldfinger could be fun.
I don't know. Something that's not the Pixies, or Judas Priest.

I'll leave my mic open when I sing it. Just for you...

Could have been a really good guess, haha.
It basically went like this:
-Dude posts on ScoreHero some questionable screen caps of a supposed MTV commercial regarding last week's MTV2 pack.
-Someone points out some blurry text underneath "...And Justice for All" that looks like "as made famous by the Pretenders" and some people call bullshit.

Something in the way is decieving because they only appear in the chorus.
I assume you're talking about drums?

That so sweet of you. I'll make sure to do the same for you. ;-)
Also, I think I'll make a thread about that "awesome" game. Thank God it's over. For now...
Sadly, DFtR on Expert is still a wall for me. Played heel-down, my foot is just dead by Solo C; heel-up, I just don't have the control.
It really frustrates me that I can 5-star 3 of the "Impossible" tier, but can't beat the first song from the previous one.

My strategy was to get a full star power by the time I hit the first GRYRG etc cluster
Then I just hold green and strum at a constant beat while wildly tapping the other two, it's enough to stay alive
get SP, do it again for the next set by holding the lowest button and randomly tapping the other two.
then I collect all the SP possible, and SP my way through the descending notes of hell at the end
I think I beat it with like, if i had missed two more notes I would have failed.
I guess I'll get Offspring maybe
I've been less impressed with DLC lately
