I hope they keep up the one-album-each-month trend, which will mean we're due to hear news, hopefully, of what next month's (or maybe next 3 month's) album will be.

In this trend, I was reading the new issue of Game Informer (I work at a college dorm with a mail room and one of the tenants is a suscriber, I guess) and there is a blurb about Harmonix working to have Rush's Moving Pictures lined up as the next album after Doolittle.

Well two of the seven songs on the album are already released for Rock Band...

    fuck yeah I beat GG&HT

    woo

    fucking

    yes

    FINALLY

I don't think we can be friends anymore.

    86%. Every. Fucking. Time.

My strategy was to get a full star power by the time I hit the first GRYRG etc cluster

Then I just hold green and strum at a constant beat while wildly tapping the other two, it's enough to stay alive

get SP, do it again for the next set by holding the lowest button and randomly tapping the other two.

then I collect all the SP possible, and SP my way through the descending notes of hell at the end

I think I beat it with like, if i had missed two more notes I would have failed.

This is what I do. I always have Overdrive ready, and always hold down green. I just can't get the timing right on the strumming, or I over strum, or something. I'm think about going into practice mode, and attempting to just get the timing down for YRG, so I'll strum on Yellow, tap Red and then Green, and strum on yellow again. I figure 3/4 notes isn't bad, If I can just get the timing down.

With one of those being on the disc. Assuming Tom Sawyer wouldn't be included (and why would it unless Harmonix got the master tracks or something), the album works out as a nice six-song DLC pack.

And they're both covers. If those two had to be covers, then I'm assuming the rest of the album would have to be covers since it is common knowledge that Geddy recorded the vocals and bass on the same track. Unless the rest of the songs don't suffer from this issue OR if Geddy wants to re-record his tracks, I sincerely doubt that any non-cover Rush will come out in album form.

Making people who already got Limelight buy it again? I don't think they are going to do that.

Probably not. However, it's worth noting that the price of buying the other five songs works out to being the same as a six-track DLC pack.

So uh...amazing night. I hopped on hoping to find some peeps online but my friend list was mostly empty. I did a couple of vocals Score Duels with some random moron who could barely get Okay on most of the lines and insisted on playing over and over.

I figure I should just go back to Solo Tour and see what I can do. Well, I gold star Sabotage and Train Kept A Rollin' which means that out of 56 possible vocals gold stars I have 55. The last song I need to gold star is Timmy but fuck that noise. I also raised my score on a few annoying songs and I'm sitting in 27th place on the Leaderboards now. :)

New Offspring doesn't suck just like New Metallica doesn't suck. Just because their music style didn't stay identical every album doesn't make it bad. There still isn't a single Offspring song I truly don't like thus far.
