So you think that every single season they are going to introduce three entirely new sets of armor? What the shit?

One for the 10 losses a week crowd, one for the 1700+ crowd and one for the 2000+ crowd.
So why is the 1500-1700 crowd lumped in with the 10 losses a week crowd?

What the fuck are you talking about dude? My god.

It follows blizzard's philosophy of uniquely rewarding people for doing shit at a specific point in time that can never be done again.
On the other hand, it goes counter to their philosophy of "it's even less work to just make the existing stuff more readily available rather than create three times as much new stuff."

I guess I haven't seen them say anything to indicate that they're going to change the current arena gear system of having things slide down a level each season.

    Pretty clear duder.

    0-1699 has set 1, 1700-1999 has set 2, 2000+ has set 3.

Actually, just for the sake of accuracy, the Hateful gloves only require 1665 rating. I only used "1700+ rating" because someone mentioned it upthread.

The Deadly set costs only arena points. So, aim for 2k+ rating if you don't like grinding honor.

Pretty much. The sticking point that I left kind of vague is that a team that does all right and wins over half their games but isn't top 10-20% (whatever the approximate population cutoff of 1700 is) so can't break the 1700 barrier is getting the same rewards as "the 10 losses a week crowd." That is also extremely disappointing to me.

You mean punishing people who didn't get in on the ground floor?
Because Arena seems to be pushing that hardcore.

Mages are a bit unfair right now, I'm sure they'll get tweaked a bit. I wouldn't expect PvP to be very fair for a little while, they're more concerned with getting all the PvE ends tied up I think.

Mutilate got nerfed a bit from when we first fought. Although I was very close the first time around, you straight violated me the second time.

I'll definitely be bringing him to 70 though, if for nothing other than his Jewelcrafting cuts, so yeah, i'm down.

K my PTR transfer FINALLY went through, I'm a bit confused.

I see we have three judgement spells. If I have seal of command up, and I judge light for example, does it judge light AND give me the damage for judging command?

Basically if you are Ret or Prot you will always be judging Wisdom by default because its more efficient, with Touched by the Light (for Prot) and Sheath of Light (for Ret) to use your mana to heal yourself rather than have JoL heal you.

Also my little triple xp warrior is now level 26 with 8 hours /played, I think this is the only way I could ever bear to level one. Tanked a dungeon, was awesome fun to do something different.

If there's a glyph in WotLK that ends up lowering SR's cooldown, I could imagine prot warriors being a mainstay of many 5v5 teams. Consistent damage, slow-but-consistent dispels, unkillable, and every X seconds one of your offensive spells is reflected.

Think about that in a group context. You're not even looking at the warrior, loading up a big frostbolt combo on a healer or preparing to cyclone a shaman or whatever, and you cast your spell and all of a sudden 3k damage / up in the air for 5 seconds / lol self feared.

Additionally, on Live right now spell reflect can reflect multiple spells if they all hit at nearly the same time, the buff dissipates after a spell hits but not instantaneously, there's a moment of lag where it persists and can continue to reflect spells. If that bug / feature stays, an imp sr warrior in 5v5 would be.... well, a horrible nightmare for every spellcaster in WoW.

I haven't played my pally (who isn't ret geared anyways), but the instant FoL added to ret makes me giddy. Not that its really a make-it-or-break-it feature, but I like that they've added a talent that gives ret a bit of healing utility that doesn't shut down their DPS. Good design IMO.

combined with Sheath of Light, your heals are actually very potent. In full DPS gear, my heals hit for about 1.1k non-crit, 1.8k crit with a 30% of that as a HoT.

And with melee crit = spell crit, I have about 28% crit.

RE: Paladin and Warrior mitigation/mechanic differences as MT's:
You're trying too hard to be argumentative here. I would suggest something more along the lines of: "Hey, [smart dude] here posted some [combat log / theorycrafting] on [lolpaladin.com] and it looks like our health and avoidance is a lot lower than warriors with the same gear." That would let us go look at the data, compare it to ours, and then go make adjustments if necessary.

We're in the process of finishing up a round of dps analysis right now and then we'll do some more mitigation analysis.
GC, what are you guys intending to do about silences/mana burns/casts like those guys in TK?
We just can't do that in LK content, at least not on the tanks.

I was thinking the same would go for prot pallies. Increased damage while still damn hard to kill, I would imagine it to be quite a plus in arenas.

Now, I don't have a ton of stamina, so I'm only around something like 7k health. (stupid fel leather set and it's lack of base stats) But still, no healing gear and it's hitting for close to 7k regularly.

I'm also judging light instead of wisdom because the mana back from the judgements is usually more than enough to keep me full.

Seriously, once the patch hits I'm hoping to make a ton of money by doing this regularly. Charging some lv60 like 50g or some such to run him through something fairly easy. The only problem is in Underblog the first boss hits really hard. Maybe I wasn't paying attention but he kicked my ass so I gave up.

This is true. Things typically die too fast for the mana back from wisdom to make a difference and my mana bar fills up with JoTW proccing. On bosses, sure, maybe I'll judge wisdom.
