first off, vista 64 and asus p5k mobo

so i have my master hd as a 500 gig sata drive, and i just purchased a second 500 gig sata drive. I plug the new one into sata slot 2 (the other red slot for sata cables). I can see it in the bios, and I can see ti on the hardware device manager.

Why cant I see the second hard drive on my computer?
I have the most recent drivers for everything. I am sure I am missing something really simple, but I dont have a clue.

Thanks for any help

    Is it formatted?

Edit: Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management

Make sure it's formatted there (NTFS and all that). If unformatted, right click to format.

Edit2: Whoops! Vista 64! Should've read. Instructions were for XP. My mistake. See if Vista has something similar?
