Man Soldier of Fortune 2:Double Helix had some of the best damage models I had ever seen...I can't believe how badly the 3rd one, Payback I think was so fucked up. Like to play it made me bleed in places where I shouldn't bleed! Also in SoF2 I loved throwing knives and watching the enemies run around with knives in there bodies! Also what the fuck is with lucas arts and not putting the new Jedi game on PC...COME ON FUCKERS WERE YOUR ORIGINAL PLATFORM!
Oh and sniper rifles are always the best because they have all the power of the real ones but none of the skill required to use them.
1. FFTA and FFTA:2
2. Its not bad its just not as good as FFT
No they're pretty bad. Judges, class restrictions and overall lack of difficulty ruin it.
Judges I'll agree with you on that one, class restrictions not so much and it allowed them to make your characters more balances. And seriously the only part of FFT I found difficult was the first half of the first chapter otherwise it was about as comparably difficult (at least to me)
...what ARE Goombas, anyway? ...they look... unsettling...
I think in the original SMB manual they were citizens of the mushroom kingdom that had turned traitor. So they're mushroom people like toad, but twisted by Bowser's dark magic or something.

I just assumed they were toadstools.

I just assumed they were abominations that needed to die like bugs. It made the head-stomping make sense.
How can a person survive so many bullets and not even be phased by it until he/she dies?
How does Chun Li walk comfortably with such huge thighs?
In Dragon Ball Z games - why do they make such great games in specific aspects, yet they never combine two ideas together to make an awesome game?
...why can't more games have the capability of downloading a "full" game via Wii-to-DS like Geometry Wars?
Not really about games: Why haven't they made a Culdcept anime based on the manga? The manga rocks...
...about games: Why haven't they made a Culdcept game that works like the manga?
In FFCC:MLaaK, why can't you stay up at night for long? It's pretty at night!
In GTA4, why can't you save replays of how you die?
In Halo games, shouldn't they reinforce you with more soldiers? I mean, I know they're low on them, but with how many they pair you up with during missions, you'd think they could just combine them together...
...and why wasn't Top Shop (by A1 games) more recognized? That was the greatest game to ever come out that was board-like.

I think I remember reading that...
...but by that idea... Bowser's dark magic must really suck to make them lose arms...
Bricks, in SMB, were also people of the mushroom kingdom, only they were those who hadn't turned on princess toadstool, and thus bowser turned them into blocks as punishment.
I swear I'm not making that up. Think about that next time you break a block in SMB.
Why does Donald Duck wear a towel after getting out of the shower? He wears no pants in the first place. What is he worried about? Hiding the shrinking?

As punishment for defying me, willingly or unwillingly, I'll crush them.
To save them and give them freedom, I'll crush them.
Why haven't they made a sequel to Star Wars: Republic Commando? it was kind of a cliffhanger ending...
Why does the EDF say that it is unknown if the aliens are friendly or not in the beginning, and yet label them "The Ravagers"? seems kinda like they were asking for it.
Where is my Lucasarts Classics Collection for DS? (i can dream...)
- How come nobody's made a god-hand esque game for the Wii yet where you synch the controllers to your fists (triggers could be grab, and much of the rest is physics and collision mechanics)?

Because you are goddamned STORM-1, and you can't be seen having to demean yourself by killing aliens with such pussified names as 'the peacecomers'. They had to name them something kickass and evil so you'd agree to slaughter them all in the name of JUSTICE and BLOOD if they turned out to be evil.

EDF's higher ups were so damn confused with how to handle the aliens.
"AAH! The city's being attacked by giant bugs!"
EDF Command:"Do not attack the UFO. It may be unrelated."
I bet it was a major relief to them when the UFOs did start attacking, so they knew it was ok to shoot.
- Why does Final Fantasy insist on crystals? The official line is that will always be crystals? Why?
Uh... it's a recurring theme? Similarly to chocobos, airships, summons, spell names, a character named Cid, job systems, etc.; not to mention recurring themes in other long-running JRPGs such as Dragon Quest.
I don't think there's any deeper reason than because it's an idea they have used before and like.
Why do many PC games scale up and look very nice, but so few scale down well? Why is Blizzard the only one who can make games that run on old computers?
Why did Megaman, X, and Volnut loose all their powers and weapons in between games? (Dash in X2+ doesn't count)
Why did Advent Rising have to have such great potential and be such a bad game?
Why don't more games have level editors?
Oh, and why aren't there more good 3D platformers for PC? Honestly. It's my favorite genre, and I've played almost all the decent ones. :-(

There are two big opinions I know of on the Megaman/X/etc. bit.
The first is that Doctor Light, and later X, truly hoped for peace and so destroyed the gained weapons each time their respective villain was stopped.
The second is that Doctor Light, and later X, feared what would occur if all those weapons were kept in one machine's hands should said machine ever get out of control, so they hence destroyed all the weapons.
As for Megaman Trigger, from the Legends games...
That one was justified. In 2, right before you have to go out and kick some ass, Roll admits she sold all your weapons because they were too broke to keep surviving otherwise.

I both enjoy the Wii games I own (Zelda:TP, Smash Bros., Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3 off the top of my head, plus virtual console titles) and like Blizzard as a company. =/

The Wii is popular because it's the best party console ever. Non-gamers can pick up the controls and figure things out in a few seconds, and several great games have four player mode. Even normally non-fun games are a lot more enjoyable if you have friends playing with you.
As for blizzard, I really don't know much about them as a company. They make really great games, and they haven't done anything stupid or evil enough for me to notice.
Either way, I have noticed that that policies of a company are much easier to forgive if they make good games.
I thought this way, until I played SMG and realized that it was pure ecstatic joy in disc form.
Why do people hate QTEs so much? As long as they give you enough reaction time, I've enjoyed them in nearly every game. It's a cool way of interacting with the cutscenes, instead of sitting there and knowing that there will be a real consequence if you don't press certain buttons.

I remember reading that looking through old manuals a couple years ago and was like WTF.
I now feel worse about hitting those blocks than I do for harvesting little sisters

Because they're overused now to the point where they're bullshit about 70% of the time.
- Why aren't more RPGs (even the big ones) designed more like Paper Mario? It seems like the only RPG series that actually has gameplay these days.
- Why don't developers even try on the Wii? Is it a lack of budget, or a lack of talent?
- Why aren't more classic games reinvented like Pac-Man (Pac-Man Championship Edition) and Space Invaders (Space Invaders Extreme) were?
- Who thought it would be a good idea to drive the costs of consoles above $300?
- Where the hell is Pikmin 3?
- Why haven't any consoles actually come with a game making utility like the old Commodore 64, etc, had? It could possibly inspire creativity if they were to do something like that.

You, except for the fact that you can easily skip pretty much all annoying laws, pick races based on what class you want them, and difficulty...
well, I spent ~120 hours on it if I remember. I'm glad it wasn't harder, I spent enough time as it was.

Was that a Terrible Secret of Animal crossing reference?

1. Depends on the game.
2. Like how we enjoy Super Mario Bros.
3. Depends on the game.
4. Depends on the game.
5. Dear god it depends on the game. REALLY depends on the game.
How true.
Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo.
Love them almost as much as Zelda, Mario, and Metroid.

Why is Mario and by extension Shoe suck a total douchebag?
...wouldn't that be 3rd parties fault?
...why didn't a lot of people get Okami?
Why do some people think 2D should "stay dead"? ...nothing wrong with 2D...
Why do people talk down about video games they've never even tried before?
Why do people depend so much on professional reviews - why can't they judge for themselves?
...why are joysticks so expensive?
-Why did Sierra/Dynamix nick the in game community feature early in the launch of Tribes 2? :x
Because they're overused now to the point where they're bullshit about 70% of the time.
How come people hate on the wii wheel? It feels more realistic than just using a controller.
Because games are expensive. Even renting.
