    mmmm, sweet tasty knowledge.

wonder if i have time to find a copy of gods and generals so i don't look like a complete histo-retard.

If you watch Gods and Generals to get information about Gettysburg, you will be a complete histo-retard, as Gods and Generals was about the Fredericksburg campaign. The move you want is appropriately titled "Gettysburg"

see? thanks for the info. i only referred to it 'cause i only got to see the first part, and didn't know where the other two continued. and coincidentally enough, a coworker just suggested gettysburg to me.

i have a secret and it shames me to be lacking this knowledge.

My dad owned a Civil War art gallery in Fredericksburg and our early father-son vacation trips were to battlefields.

I am a freak when it comes to this shit, not the norm, trust me. You should be grateful to not know the order of battle from the seige of Vicksburg.

I'll be sure to come up with some obscure fact to test you on and when you fail, I'll mock you. It'll be great.

Also, when are you buying that incredible car?

I contacted them saying that I was interested and they told me they get about 3-4 email inquiries a day about it, and then changed the listing to sale pending.

    Nooooooooooo.

It's ok. I shall keep my eye out for another such car. That or, call them up and let them know that you are interested, give them details and a price point and see if they can find it. They work with the largest car auction dealer in the country...may as well.

EDIT: Important point I almost missed, it's a certified pre-owned so it has a massive volvo dealer warrenty on it.

I'm up for the Ghost Tour.

    Currently, I'm still in.

I'm waiting to hear back on my grandfather's funeral arrangements. I *may* be in NY on Saturday, but I don't think that will be the case. Today or tomorrow should tell.

As will I, my TV headed amigo.

Looks like all should be wrapped up by Friday, so it shouldn't be an issue...just have to check in with the family when everyone gets moving today.

Good times yesterday in CoD, I shall try to suck less.

ok, i hope everything turns out as good as it can when dealing with funerals and such

meh, you just started on CoD, doing the campaign is a good starter, but multi is a completely different animal

it takes a bit to get used to the speed and where to watch and how to look for people

there are routes that the majority of people take around the maps. once you learn those routes, you go the opposite and kick ass

Yea, there is only so much that can be done. Funeral home has given us a discount though, which in many ways, is hilarious. "Oh hey..you all were here last month. Take 10% off the top. You want the usual?"

Better question regarding Gettysburg: Have we located an old timey photo place?

ok, tour wise i am thinking about the Steinwehr Ave. tour. here is the summary from the website:
Your tour begins in the parking lot of The Reliance Mine Saloon at the Quality Inn-Gettysburg Motor Lodge.

See the Gettysburg National Cemetery, where ghostly footsteps follow unwary visitors and the wraith of a shunned Union cavalry commander walks to this day...

Walk the grounds of the modern hotel where disembodied, phantom arms appear in the dead of night to awaken unsuspecting tourists...

Gaze across the fields where Pickett's gallant men charged to their doom, and left bizarre remnants of their passing...and their continued presence!

The Steinwehr Avenue is available on Saturdays at 7:00pm starting Memorial Day weekend. Reservations are strongly recommended. Call 717-337-0445 for reservations!
Tickets must be purchased at Ghosts of Gettysburg Candlelight Walking Tour® Headquarters at least 30 minutes prior to tour time. Directions to the tour meeting place will be given when tickets are purchased. The tour lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes and covers about three-quarters of a mile.

Price: $8.00 plus tax; Children 7 and under free

well it starts in the parking lot of a damn bar, and once you see this bar, you guys will laugh

but it does take us past the cemetary and past picketts charge... and we can grab some mints fromt the cleaning cart at the hotel.

what are the odds of anything actually happening on these tours? next to none. but i thought this one gave the best atmosphere, besides the hotel thing...

i'll not be under the impression any tour will be able to fully submerge us into a historic setting, so starting off in a parking lot is fine.maybe i should grow a beard for the photos tho?

and if you wanna really see ghosts or something, lemme look in my backpack. there may still be some blotter lsd rolling around in the bottom.
