I really liked how twisted some of the elements in Majora's Mask were. For one, you didn't just get magic masks that turned you into a different version of Link. You were wearing the body of someone from another race who died horribly. Like, how as a Deku scrub, the butler points out how you look just like his lost son.
Then, coincidentally, the same butler is later seen, sobbing in front of the tree you come across at the beginning. You know, the one with a face in it that looked like it was crying? I guess the skull kid more or less took his soul away, turned him into a tree, and then uses that on Link just for shits and giggles.

What I liked best was that at any point in time, anywhere in the game, you could look at the sky, and if you paid close attention you could see the moon gradually getting biggger
and bigger
and bigger
So at no point could you really forget about what would happen if you failed, since the moon was constantly coming in to wreck your shit. In Ocarina you didn't get that at all
Oh definitely. The moon was creepy as shit. It was such a shock to see how big it was getting, the first time you looked up and - HOLY FUCK.
I also like sympathetic villains. You definitely felt kinda sorry for the Skull Kid at the end, since he was just some little trickster that got ahold of something he really shouldn't have.

This game was pretty terrible
But it also had a lot of good ideas I wish could be in other games
One giant scary world you easily get lost in
One major villian you constantly either have to avoid or fight
Plus it had great music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL9hq0tz2q8&feature=related

Definitely, although Wind Waker kind of turned Ganondorf into a guy you could feel for, at least a little bit

Yeah, I was surprized that they made him a little more fleshed out in Wind Waker. His monologue was pretty cool. A friend of mine made me so pissed when she was complaining about his lines.
It was something like " 'the wind is blowing...' What the does that have to do with anything, and why would you even say that as your last words?"
I just wanted to slap the shit out of her. I guess some people have zero fucking grasp of what irony is.
My problem with liking Majora's Mask is that I hate timed mission. And thats basically what the game was and turning back time was annoying and fuck so many masks
i played it after playing majora's mask, which is often dumbly cited as one the weakest in the series, and was like
this is it?
the fuck
I think a lot of people can't see past the fact that much of what Majora's Mask did, was done in Ocarina of Time first. They couldn't overlook that the engine and character models were all borrowed from the first game, and disregarded that it outperformed the original in every way.

you were never going to run out of time
just play the reverse song of time and you have like, almost two and a half hours

One time, years ago, I went back and played it again just to see how hard it was going into it again.
I got to the water temple, and expeted it to be really hard (after how much she complained about it) and got from start to finish over a few hours in a single sitting without any need for a walkthrough. I was almost disappointed.

and hell yes ToS rules
it was abysmal
I cried
the funniest thing is when sub zero gets hit from behind all of a sudden

in reptiles ending he dies
it was awesome
This will be here until I receive an apology or Weedlordvegeta get any consequences for being a bully

the multiplayer in that was so awesome
what pisses me off about the xbox version is that revamping the multiplayer was the focus of their porting it
and all they manage to do was completely replace it with something that sucked
Definitely, although Wind Waker kind of turned Ganondorf into a guy you could feel for, at least a little bit
dude had basically been around since the world began, alone
he just wanted a friend and everything got all fucked up
I'm going to play through it again

Can never forget how great that was, and is.
everyone always hailed it as the best game ever
i played it after playing majora's mask, which is often dumbly cited as one the weakest in the series, and was like

the fuck
talking to the bosses as children
majora's fucked-up many forms
god that game
so awesome
that was the best weekend ever
that's kind of sad actually
man bullshit

no task in the game takes that long
Although I have to admit, I liked the music in Ocarina better, just by a little though.
And man, the Elegy of Emptiness? Shit was called the Skin Shredding Elegy in Japan
And on that note I loved the Ikana area. Exploring the ruins of a dead kingdom was so fucking cool
holleee shit
yes
but it's still my favorite game
Well it did for me when I was younger
Also, that lady friend I mentioned earlier?
She had the game for, I think a week, before she finally figured out how to get to the skull kid and reset to the first day.
And to this day she never got past the water temple. Ugh.
I was not a fan at all
fucking zelda games
archaic as hell
never dug them
I loved the water temples
they were one of my favorite parts of the games
god that fight
against the skull king and his two guards
I was grounded for a week one time and all I wanted was to play that fight again
when I finally did it was so, so worth the wait to play it again
know what, that was was another awesome thing about majora's mask
if you liked something a lot, you could do it again without having to start a new file
But I love them so much and I don't know why
I played this game every day for like 6 months.
I didn't have quite all of the fairies

I played through the first one and didn't beat it but I owned the second one and I lost it at Camp
I miss that game, I need to find another copy
