We can handle it, what with our pinpoint accuracy.

Flatline, if you're not going to use your move action you may want to convert it to a minor and use Inspiring Word. You, Bjorn, and Stidandr are all pretty hurt.

Only works on one target. Allies should use a healing surge, then once out... I can use inspiring thus granting you another heal surge.

Only issue with that is that using the second wind is a standard action (except for dwarves!) while Inspiring Word is only a minor action. But yeah, we're not badly hurt enough to worry about healing just yet.

I am probably going to burn mine next round and then throw my daily out and use an AP since the dragon shields are real bitches.

For my next trick, I'll win the encounter single-handedly!

...that was a nice set of rolls. I'm proud of my Half-Elf heritage!

Nice, very nice. But when you use a Close(or area) attack you roll the damage only once and use the result for all targets hit.

Oh, really? Then why do you need to roll to hits separately?

    Or don't you? I'm confused.

You do. You roll the to-hit individually for each target, but roll damage just the once. I think its supposed to represent individual creatures dodging out of the way of the effect, but that the strength of the effect is the same throughout the area... or something. Not really sure on that front.

    Jolly good show, Rainfall.

LS is right. I don't necessarily think there's an "in-universe" reason for why it works that way. Instead, it's more of a KISS (keep it simple, stupid) principle, where you have to roll a lot less dice.

Kirrim is up, then we'll have Stigandr (taking his proper place in the initiative), then the kobolds, then the remaining group.

Gwen is a better wizard than me. D:

Oh, I forgot to mention this, but I trained Flaming Sphere instead of Sleep for the day. I figure having a little more guaranteed fire power would be useful.

So... expect my activity to suck for the next week, I'll try to post when I can but I may need some help as I'm going on vacation.

Do you want to have either Pope or someone else act for you if you haven't posted in ~24 hours so we can keep combat moving, or do you think you'll be down for fairly regular updates?

Here's my plan as of right now: I'm going to update with the kobolds' actions in the next hour or so. If Lawinator hasn't posted by then, we'll have him stick with where he was before. If he doesn't act by, let's say tomorrow night, I'll take his action for him.

You know, something helpful like using a Nature check to see if they're REALLY kobolds, or just some mutant goblins.

I think I should be able to take Kobold C down with an Encounter power. Heals would be nice though, you crazy Pally.
Only thrice a day? I thought dwarves were supposed to have stamina!

How much XP did we get for that first encounter wayback? I forgot to add it to my sheet. Also, are we doing this in initiative order or not? If not, I'll make a post sometime tonight unless I get drunk for Canada Day party.

Bjorn summons the wrath of Kord to slay some kobolds.

    Also, maptools is awesome sauce.

    EDIT: Two Kobolds dead.
EDIT2: Also, who has the lowest HP at this point, I'll have Bjorn do some hand laying next.

That would be Gwen I think, at 13hp.

Hey pope, what are those green shrub-looking things on the map? Difficult terrain and sight-blocking I assume?

And if I provoke an opportunity attack do you want me to just go ahead and roll it?

Note to check my spoilers today guys..no big deal, but some important notes none the less. Also, quick apology for not playing my class to its best potential and being a tad absent lately. Very tough work week in my little IT world...audits, so fun. I'm still quite newb and am taking a lot of this in..combat wise. And from what I've read, the Warlord is one of the hardest to play due to active bonuses and weird shifting abilities. I'm working on it... =) (I direct this mainly to LS, sure you've gotten annoyed with me hehe)

Minor: Inspiring Word on Self: 1D6+1=5 HP Regained

Inspiring word lets you spend a healing surge and gain an additional 1d6 hp. So you regain 7(Surge value*)+4(not sure where you added the +1 from)=11 total hp healed.

*Your character sheet lists your surge value as 6 but, as a Dragonborn, it should be 1/4 total hp + con modifier.

Nah, I generally enjoy helping people out. I tend to be a bit of a rules-lawyer at heart but tone it down in more casual cooperative games like this.

@Rainfall: You can only add the bonus damage from warlock's curse once per round. The wyrmpriest is still dead, just slightly less so.

Now I just need Stigandr to go and then Kirrim can shoot somebody again.

But the kobolds won't be acting again until the next round and Stigandr hasn't taken a turn yet this round.

I suppose we could do it that way, with the current turn of events I think we probably have this well in hand anyway.

LS, feel free to take your action now. I'll include Stigandr when I do the kobolds' actions. Unfortunately, the next 3 days are REALLY busy for me. I will do my best to update sometime tomorrow, but if I don't, there probably won't be an update until Sunday night.
