Well, that took quite some time to get to this point! This one should last quite awhile.
So obviously, things have begun to slow down. As I put in the topic just now, monitoring inactivity isn't really a priority anymore. However, when I wake up in the morning, I can check to see if there's any extreme cases of inactivity and make some room to the PA GTA IV list.

Yeah, people have begun to move on (I'm guilty; especially with MGS4 out in a few days), but it wouldn't necessarily hurt to open up just a few spots. I'm not talking about clearing dozens of people or anything. :P

That features list in the OP is really outdated/inaccurate. Just from skimming it, I know you can't use car trunks, ATMs, and there are big arrows over your intended targets.

I banned myself from the ps3 until the 24th due to not enough study and too much running around doing crazy shit in a freeroam city. (After finals, basically)
I mean shit, I'm going to have to buy mgs4 since I've put money on the preorder, then tearfully hand over custody to the gf to hide somewhere or I'll probably just outright fail the exam on the 19th.
What this means is you all need to tell more awesome war stories.

Ok, first, you people are really stretching the meaning of psychic, and it's bothering me. I just wanted to let that out.
(End game spoiler)
Hrmmm....Psychic seems okay to me for my purposes....but perhaps to be more specific, a phrophetic or omniscient Niko would tell Roman that the only way he can live is to take revenge on Dimitri.
I still think psychic is okay (I RAED TI ON TEH WEKIPEDDIAZ!). Like in an Oracular sense--though that may imply that an event is fated to happen...I guess it's more like dramatic irony (but not exactly), in that I know how both endings play out. OOH! It's kinda like Sliders; I have two alternate universes saved on my PS3...except that my main character is a badass assassin instead of the fat kid from Stand By Me.

It was the feature list from someone else's thread before the game came out. I suppose it would be a good idea and fix it up some more.

You know what they need to do? They need to have people singing along to the radio in their car. Like, you stop at a traffic light and the person in the car next to you is singing along badly to Broker. Or you take Dwayne out drinking and get a taxi home and Rocky Mountain Way comes on the radio and he starts singing along drunkenly. Roman all getting the lyrics wrong to that song about the guy who has different names for all his guns. They need to do this.
Did Rockstar just trick me into playing a dating videogame?

They do rock their heads to the beat, which I thought was a cool feature. Even Niko will do that sometimes.

So, I finally finished the story and decided that I'd go back and do a bunch of crap for the achievements (Exports, Stevie, Assassinations, Pigeons) and I started realizing how much of the game world I hadn't actually seen by just focusing on the story and going on a few hangouts/dates. There's whole sections of certain islands I don't think I had seen before yesterday.

Totally. My only wish is that the Stevie text message missions were available almost immediately, with new cars needing stolen as the new islands open up. They're the first time I've actually spent time studying the map, learning the names of the different zones and streets, referring to landmarks on the skyline and at street level and generally learning my way around the islands rather than relying completely on the sat nav. Having them, or similar missions, available from the outset would've been a great way to encourage people to explore the city early on.

So true. One of Stevie's request sent me to a police station in the Northeast and when I got there, I took a phone call from Kiki (who wanted to go out) before I got in the vehicle. After the date, I went right back there with no nav help as I knew where I was going.
This game is so good, I picked up the guide book the other day so the wife and I are playing through using that (she is fascinated with guide books for some reason), just got past Elizabeta's arc.

Actually you can use ATM's to check your balance. But yeah the car trunk thing is bogus unless you count being able to buy weapons out of Jacobs trunk.

The story was barely good enough to convince me not to use the guide for the missions. Most of its advice can be summed up as follows: "Use cover; drive carefully." However, as a reference, it is fucking invaluable.
After I get off work at 6 I'm going to be all up in the PSN, so add me if you're looking for some action.
Also: I hated racing in the other games so it took me until this week to start tackling the procedural races. Are they all going to be this easy?
I would like an ADD to the PA GTA IV list, I still play online pretty regularly, and I know out of that 100 list a large handful are probably playing TWEWY or something else new

why would you need to check your balance at the ATM? My current cash is in the upper right hand corner of the screen ?!
It just adds another detail to the city. Also if you hang around an ATM pedestrians will use them. If you wait till they're done with the ATM then mug them they will drop fair bit of cash.

I think you were supposed to be able to use the ATM's for deposits as well, but it seems like that got cut out before release.
Hey Dashui, if you could do me a favor and change my headset listing in the OP to 'YES' I'd really appreciate it. (Chance_Splinter on PSN) I mentioned it in the Playstation 3 GTA thread but it never got fixed.
I don't play GTA that much these days 'cause I'm knee deep in Oblivion, but add me! And please mention if you're a PAer - I get all kinds of wierd friend invites from people I've never heard of.
Btw, good job keeping these threads rolling.

Could you add me to the list? My tag is An Evil Plan. Although, I've been trying to avoid the MP until I finish the singleplayer parts (at least, the story missions and others to my satisfaction).
Oh, and a Stevie question:
I've never completed the first one. I found the scooter outside the Chinese restaurant as asked, received the "Hey, Stevie wants that bike" message, but then totaled the scooter before I could get it there. However, I went back and there's another scooter there and ever after. Can I still turn it in? In regards to that... Where the hell is Stevie's place? The time Brucie led me there was far too early in the game for me to start remembering where things were.

Why'd they wait so long in this series to include multiplayer? I'm having so much godamned fun with it.
Last night, I was in full-on action movie mode. Here are some highlights from one particularly epic ranked team deathmatch:
I was driving in a Dukes down a long stretch in Hove Beach, when I saw a guy on the other team running down the same street on foot. I drove right at him, and when I was close enough, I pulled the e-brake so that I spun halfway around him, and fishtailed and hit him with the back end of my car. Then, while he was lying on the ground in a daze, right next to my door, I busted out the window and shot him at point blank.
On the mini-map, I could see two enemies heading down a nearby alleyway in Hove Beach, so I ran into Perestroika, ran up onto the stage, headed right and busted through the double doors into the alley in back, submachine gun blazing, just as they turned a corner and ran into me. They panicked and shot every which way while I took both of them down with surgical precision.
I don't even use anything other than the submachine gun anymore. I've gotten really good at aiming it and timing my shots.

I totally agree that the guide isn't really needed, but it's a very very well done guide and after I finish the story again and go for 100% being able to find all the pigeons is going to be pretty easy with the book I think.

To me, this seems like a feature that was cut. When you can just hit down on the d-pad to see your cash ATMs become completely useless.

You are supposed to hit people with a car while they are checking their balance.
Come on.
Daytime- A few punches to the face as they begin to walk away.
Nighttime- Baseball bat.
Sounds like i'm being too nice about this.
