    Philly is in first place, the Sox are in first. Can't complain too much. Though I wouldn't mind seeing the Yankees completely in the basement rather than duking it out with the Jays and the Orioles for the position of mediocrity.

    I don't know, people were saying in April, then May that it couldn't last. That Tampa can't go the distance, but damn here it is June and still they persist.

    Go Padres.

    Went to the Padres game last month that almost got rained out. The entire stadium seemed so confused between innings when the jumbotron view of the audience showed water falling from the sky

    no, the rays can in fact not keep this up

    they're doing well but they're still pretty much the joke of the AL east.

    Well, it's only the most dedicated people that sit down and watch every game start to finish. Baseball is a great sport for catching highlights and reading box scores.

    The Yankees are doing shit this year I'm sad to say. I don't really understand why they resigned Cashman. They guy spends 200 million a year and produces teams that lose in the first round of the playoffs every year. I'm pretty sure my dog could do that.

    preseason is good for the first couple weeks because hey its football and also because it can be interesting to someone who follows training camps and position battles and stuff

    I agree 4 games is too many though, it should be 3 at most and they could get away with 2

    I look forward to college ball more. Dunno why, it's just more exciting to me. I'll spend all day Saturdays in front of the TV, and none on Sundays.

    i always thought it would be cool to have 2 games and a red-shirt scrimmage (would be the first game). Same rules as the pro bowl, no QB sacks, lighter than normal contact etc.

    the 4 games just guarantees that someone is going to get hurt because some camp body takes preseason too far.

    Forget Chipper and his average. He won't keep it over 400. Considering the last guy to come close was John Olerud when he was with the Jays about a decade ago. Considering Ichiro broke an insane record a couple years ago and didn't come close to breaking 400.

    Chipper is having an insane year, but one bad slump and 400 is fantasy.

    Also, what happened to your Indians big man?
