Trackmania is ridiculously more-ish. The fact that the tracks are only a couple of minutes long, and that you have the ability to re-start the track pretty much instantaneously if you mess something up leads to a "just one more go" mentality of trying to get your racing line just right, shaving off those few crucial milliseconds.
I don't like racing games in general, but this is easy going enough to get into whilst having a wide selection of tracks to play around with. I can see why it's so popular. No need to go tweaking your car (except maybe the paintjob), no massive pool of vehicles you have to select just the right one from for the race ahead (there are a few cars, and they're chosen for the track). It just simplifies everything and makes it all about the race and the speed. Very arcadey and accessible, but with enough depth in the tracks to keep you re-trying to get it just right.
After playing SiN Emergence for a while I have to say I'm disappointed there won't be more episodes. It shows promise. I like the health recharger/canister mechanic, and it's got one of the meatier pistols in gaming. The enemy chatter was nicely done too.

[Steam|Source] Don't bug Suds about changing the title or he'll do something horrible.
Just finished trying a few hours of DoD. Interesting game, but it feels a bit bland to me after TF2. Although then again, it could just be that I was playing on a pub server with no real tactics to be had other than "CHARGE!".
Man, I don't know what the deal is with the Steam Avatar page, but it flat out won't accept some fo my images that are 184x184, or 128x128......they really need to clarify -exactly- what the requirements are.
EDIT Aha! I have discovered the secret...I think. I was trying multiples of 184, instead of using the multiples of 32.
I played some DoD today as well. Completely unenjoyable to me, but I guess I've been palying too much TF2.
I swear there were a couple guys hacking on the server I was on. I mean, if they weren't they were REALLY good pulling of successive sniper headshots at 135 degree angles from eachother in the time it takes to reload.

Yeah, I've noticed that DoD has a much steeper difficulty curve, and is therefore just not as fun as tf2, lots of people disagree with me though:?

Lots of people agree with you too. All in all, it may be only $5 but it's $5 for a game I'm never likely to play.
So I've been trying to buy DoD:S for this past two days but my credit card is always declined, I've tried with two different ones, one of them with multiple virtual credit cards, and still no dice, I just don't get it, I'm starting to feel like a criminal :?

Well, you are jailed.
Don't mean to hurt your feelings, just pointing out the irony

In other news, if I have S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but not the Steam version, is tere a way for me to integrate it along with it showing up in my sig as the Steam Version?

They both do the same thing, MBnet is just a Portuguese service which I've always used when buying from Steam, I just don't know what happened this time :?

Not you specifically. All the suggestions so far.
I learned this the hard way.
Yeah, that's terrible.
There is a game on thread for that, I don't want to confuse people.
