Checked out the official XBox page for Elements of Destruction and the visuals have been drastically improved since the DS version.

Hm...now I'm torn. Get Space Invaders Extreme or spend the $20 on Elements of Destruction (assuming it's as cool as it sounds) and maybe the Penny Arcade game (I have a few extra points left over) and then get Space Invaders later via Goozex?
I have Space Invaders Extreme for PSP (Japanese version) and it's pretty fucking awesome. It's like Rez or Lumines and Space Invaders had a freaky baby.
Wow, Space Invaders Extreme on both platforms is getting great reviews!
Can't wait to get that game.
Also, Etrian Odyssey 2 is getting surprisingly awesome reviews as well. Really good reviews. But the reviews are basically boiling down to: Everything you loved about the original, but better, and apparently like playing the first on Expert mode, whatever that means.
I just want to say I love you for maintaning this thread.
Also, I'd totally forgotten about FFTA2. Hopefully it will last me longer than the first. It's just something about the japenese cuddle-graphics I can't handle, gameplay-wise it's gold though.
[Edit] Ah, yes. I never understood the whole timespace causality concept the rest of humanity dabbles with. FFTA2 is not out until next week. I hereby declare this post to be locked in limbo for 7 days.
No no no. I didn't finish. I had to stop playing after a while because I had a hard time keeping all the sugary fluff down. It sort of regurgitates until a point where my stomach just refuse to keep it
Seriusly though. The story was as dumb as fuck and there was too many animal crossing characters in it. I went in expecting a new mesmerizing Ramzaesque epic. I stayed for most of the game because of gameplay.
But I'm really looking forward to FFTA2. Hopefully they changed some things (the first one did not sell to well) and I also know what to expect now.
I think I'm ready, I can handle it. Maybe I should get Nintendogz this week to build a bit of resistance
Yeah, tried EoD last night and wasn't too impressed. It was different, but I didn't really care enough to play more.
Really, when you're talking about destroying things, I just want a game set in a city where you can punch people through buildings, and destroy buildings.
That's all.

Also yeah, FFTA2 is actually about as long as FFTA. Shorter story mode, much, much, much more side content.

Space Invaders Extreme, on the other hand, rocks. If you liked the original, I can't imagine why you wouldn't love this remake. Get it. Get it now.
