So I was all excited to download the brand new Firefox 3.

So I install it etcetra etcetra.

When I start it, everytime I start it, it crashes.

I'm using Vista Home Edition.

I don't know if that would make any difference. But any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried uninstalling it, and making sure you have any other past versions uninstalled? I don't know why that would make a difference, but it's worth a shot. What about restarting your PC?

Ahh... I don't know where Vista's error logs are kept, but if you could find them... Sometimes you can read through the logs and find out what's wrong. :(

Odd issue. Have you checked Firefox's support site?

might be unlikely but I found this on another forum

"I hope this works for the rest of you, I found a solution that worked for me.

I simply installed Firefox 3 in it's own directory, ex: C:\Firefox 3\ instead of C:\Firefox\"

edit: checking the install log may shed some light on the issue. It could be a dll failing to register or something stupid like that.

Also check out the "Getting info about your crash" from http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+crashes

I'm fed up. Since Lewie installed firefox 3 on my PC, I can only go on 5 websites, PA being one. I can't use Google, can't follow any links from one of my email addresses (I have 4, long story), and I'm so fed up. He's tried DNS stuff, re-booting the PC and the internet flashy lights thingy, running spybot a million times, and doesn't know what else to do. I want to delete v3 and go back to v2, which worked fine. He's going to try again tomorrow morning. All suggestions gladly received!
