Phoenix Wright Series - Quick Question

So, I just got my hand on the first and second of these games for DS (yes, for some strange reason I never got around to playing these games....)

I understand the first is a remake of a GBA title.

Long question short:

Should I start with the first game, or move on to the DS sequels/threequels right away? Would I be missing out?

    Start with the first one. There's some stuff that would be spoiled by playing the later games first.

    I guess I shouldn't be lazy when it comes to how many games I play.. I have no excuse not to have more fun...

    The first three are all GBA remakes, but they're still worth every penny.

    And, there is a Phoenix Wright thread that you could have posted this question in.
