I believe a lot of states are enacting a law where you can get fined for not using a hands-free set when driving. So this is probably well timed for many.
That said, I already have a Bluetooth headset. But I used mine for gaming. (Wired headset + cats = Broken headset)

1.) If you decide you want something that's super, super popular (I assume you set up an account beforehand with card information), you pretty much just click as fast as you can and hope to be one of the lucky?
2.) You guys say stuff is selling out instantly... this blue tooth thing has been here for 5-10 minutes now. Is this an exception?
I pretty much have nightmares of people with long hair coming through my line, staring directly at me, and talking gibberish.
Hell, even if I know they're on the phone, they'll say totally neutral things while looking right at me and I'll have no idea if they're talking to me or their phone

Some of the other items (like the mp3 player) were limited to a few items (I think there were 3 mp3 players, 3 boats), they were under half price, and (at least in the case of the mp3 players), one person bought all of them.
Its a possibility that theres just a huge quantity available. Quantity varies on each item and if it sells out instantly and is cheap, they probably didnt have a whole lot. That laptop went instantly, but would of normally been a woot killer. I would say they probably only had maybe 1-4 since they went so fast.

Oh I quite agree. I wouldn't be caught dead using my headset outside of my car or for gaming, where it belongs. I've seen people use them in the most random of places too, like in a public bathroom for one. I mean, come on now.

Most times it really is just crap, the sort of stuff you would find in like pizza place toy vending machines. Sometimes, however, it's fucking awesome shit like expensive TVs and shit and the BoCs only go for like $1.

Bag of Crap. They're a dollar each. On woot you can buy up to three of any item they post, and shipping is always $5 flat no matter the quantity or size. So when the BOC comes up its basically $8 for a chance at random stuff. You always get a bag (camera bag lately), and then some crap (random).
I've got some decent camera bags, some nice thermos glass beer mugs, and a Roomba from BOC's.
