Some people began rolling around the idea of a PAX trip right away after last years event, but putting a stable plan together and motivating people is difficult as we're all so distant and at various points of our lives, its easier when you live a town away than a whole damn country so the burden on each man is totally different. I think we could rule a Halo3 tourney however if the game dropped in July and we'd be ahead of the curve strat and gametime speaking by end of August.
Pax just seems too damn crowded to begin with and then theres the notion of getting everyone else to come through- its a massive undertaking. Even if we were sponsored or something. I don't see why Poot didn't go, if you live anywhere on the West coast its stupid to not go. I'll probably bein Europe most of next summer anyway.
I would love to get another invite, although I will be away for the next week so I won't be playing much right away.
I've discovered that playing Team Sniper without the headset plugged in is actually a pretty decent way to play with strangers. The quiet atmosphere suits the hiding and sniping in large stages.
Edit: Now that I've switched to playing Halo 2 on the 360 with a 50" HDTV, I don't think I need Halo 3 (except for campaign of course). This looks terrific in 720p. Except for the low res textures it looks just about as good as any 360 game.

I played online at a friends house with a 360 today. The sticks on the controller felt really slick and I had to jack down my sensitvity to 4 to compensate. The side-by-side split-screen didn't help much either. I still beat him (let's not get too crazy), but I wasn't on top of my game.

Lars, one of our multiplayer designers, told me to go get the latest version of one of our new maps, because some significant changes had been made. He's right, and they're the kind of changes that will make the hardcore objective game players from Halo 2, have a small but pleasant heart attack.
I don't know, I think being able to shoot while carrying the flag wouldn't work for Halo. Unless you can only shoot a single handed weapon, but still..

That(carrying a single dual wieldable weapon and flag/bomb/skull) would be EXACTLY what I would consider a small, but pleasant heart attack.
It would be cool if they made more differentiation between the elites and spartans. Maybe they could make a class-based mode where you could play as Spartans, ODSTs, humans, and AI vs Elites, Brutes, and other Convenants. I can't see how playing the flood would be any fun unless you got to control a whole team in a real-time strategy kind of way.

Man, school is back in. I have two classes a day. I'm like 99.9% sure Alpine Rush is in my first period class. I'm sure he knows I'm in the class. Being on your fifth year sucks, I know like maybe 2 kids in that class . And Alpine, if you are in Delargy's English first period, I'm chillin by the door. If you still don't know, I skipped the assembly and showed up to class 2 minutes before the class was over. I claimed I was "lost", she called the bluff and I played along with her "it won't happen again" bullshit. This teacher will not like me, I do not care. I take a business class aswell. It's shit and I'm dropping it for something else. And then I smoke pot and go home to revive the Halo 2 thread buried on the 3rd page.
I already sent it in to Microsoft once to get it fixed, and their waranty system apparently will only be honored once, and it is 140 dollars to get it fixed, fuck that.
So I remember that I have the warranty at GameStop.
Since I got a different 360 sent back to me (same HD), the seriel number is different, and now I'm getting the run around (IE, a couple months worth) from them. This is fucking retarded.

Ugh all this shit i keep hearing about busted ass 360s just makes me put off getting one another couple of months. Not like I'd have the time to play anyway- I haven't touched anything but Guitar Hero in pretty much the last month. I thought about getting on Tuesday night, but the social scene was dead.
I was putting together my lesson plans for my class and we're doing some Greek stuff with the Spartans and all and I just know one of my kids is gonna make a crack about MC.
Personally, I think I'm going to wait until the 65nm fabbed 360s start shipping. Less heat = less noise = less worries. Plus by then, it's bound to be cheaper or have a decent bundle.

They didn't get anything of much worth; they mostly were trying to pillage the storage for everyone's apartments down in the basement (everyone is pretty sure that one of the tenants is behind this, seeing as how their window is missing and their AC unit is now gone, having been stole'd)
The best part is they took an NES, but left alone the wavebird that was under it, and took the BOX to my digital camera. Oh man I wish i could see their faces when they tried to pawn that.
