People tell me there's a great story in Killer 7.

Too bad it's surrounded by that game.

No idea. The biggest Nintendo fanboy in 2Chan (who gives tidbits about various 1st party games) said something about it, but nobody was interested enough to translate it.

So, a new Pikmin game is confirmed to be in development.

At least there is something good to come out of this conference.

Add the KH setting, a guest character in every world and the Disney worlds on top of that, and what do you get? The motherfucking greatest game of all time.

Maybe some settings from Mother as well? But yeah, the universe isn't that kind, especially with regards to that series.

In my opinion, a game like you're describing would work a lot better if Nintendo made it themselves and just left KH and Disney characters out of it entirely. The number of Nintendo franchises is vast enough that you wouldn't need anything else to string it all together.

Here's a pitch for the greatest game that will never happen:

    The Chronicles of Captain N

Using an action-RPG base similar to Kingdom Hearts, players take control of Captain N as he lands in the Mushroom Kingdom and must traverse countless Nintendo worlds to return balance and save seven pure souls stolen by the dark forces. (Pure souls stolen: Peach, Luigi, Nana, Palutena, Jennifer, Zelda, Micaiah)

Players travel from world to world by jumping into paintings found in the various environments. The primary HUB for this world will be located in the heart of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach's castle.

While the starting party will consist merely of Captain N, Mario (who carries a hefty dose of Fire magic), and Daisy (with the ability to summon other game characters in to help) it will eventually grow to encompass many Nintendo characters. There will be no "guest" character bullshit. People like Det. Stevenson will join your party and stay in, while some like Pit or Starman or will hop in and out as the story progresses.

In addition to the myriad standard and individualized magical attacks (such as Popo's ice magic or Pikachu's electric attacks) different party setups will allow for specialized double and triple-team maneuvers. Little Mac and Captain Falcon delivering a hefty one-two punch to bigger bad guys or Ness home-running a morphballed Samus right into Zulie's mouth to deliver a finishing blow of epic proportions.

Not only will the most renowned heroes and the most feared villains of Nintendodom face each other, but even lesser known character will get the opportunity to present themselves. As Captain N, Det. Stevenson, and Ike exit a cave with one of the needed Black Panther Diamonds, they are ambushed by the one and only Mach Rider, and now face the fight of their lives.

    ...

    It's nice to dream.

now with free throw frisbee dog gets it game included!

I have faith that the water handling dynamics will be excellent. Course selection, however? It's basically going to be Waverace except only with Dolphin Park.

A proper Waverace, however, using the throttle-style controls and the Balance Board, that's what we need.

Yep, a new Wave Race is the next 'thing I want most from Nintendo' now that a new Pikmin is confirmed, but if the WSR Jet Ski section is as good as they say it is, I think I can live with waiting a bit longer for it.

Also, the little new AC:CF tidbits really sold me on that game. Which is a mixed blessing, really, since I could very well end up never playing another Wii game ever again! I was thinking I'd skip this, but it really does sound like the perfect mix of the best qualities of the original and Wild World, and damned if I can resist that.

...Wii Speak is still the stupidest idea ever, though.

I'm not even thinking about Nintendo worlds in KH3. Just Square and Disney worlds on the Wii would sell like crazy.

But Hyrule? Having a party of Sora, Goofy and fucking Link? Yes, I would shit myself.

B-but Link would have to (gasp, choke) speak. And that's just beyond Nintendo's pervue. Let's make Link a fucking mute because we're apparently too cheap to spend some of the billions of dollars we make on decent production values and good voice actors. Oh, and someone who can write dialogue that doesn't make everyone sound like they have downs syndrome complicated by brain AIDS.

I think ultimately what we all want is a big-budget revival of Super Mario RPG. And I have no problem with that, so long as Nintendo has some balls and spends its money on it.

ugh, it's never been about money. it's an out-moded design choice that they have yet to remedy. And i'm just talking about not having VA in general. the silent or mostly silent protagonist is still done in some other current games, and it's always a design choice, not a budget cutback.

Whatever it is, it's not going to be anything special. Everyone likes to get their hopes up because then when it's no big deal they get to piss and moan about Nintendo.

So don't anticipate anything, because I think whether you like Nintendo games or not we've all had enough of the complaining.
