[Wii] Star Wars: Lightsaber Duels - May the Waggle be With You
yea, it looks to be nothing like what we ALL want. Will just have waggle bits, maybe a bit more intricate then just a single direction, but considering all the shots were done on a 2d plane at times, I'm expecting another fighting game with no real control besides pushing buttons and waggling a direction.
Holy crap they need to tone down those saber trails. And this game really doesn't look like a "saber simulator" or anything even approaching that. Looks more like a fighting game with lightsabers. Looks better than Teras Kasi, anyway.
And the Clone Wars CG movie looks fucking awesome.

I'll wait on it but now that Genndy Tartakovsky isn't involved anymore my hopes aren't high for Clone Wars.

C'mon guys, take the saber trails. It covers the bad art design quite nicely.
The only character that looks remotely good is Grievous...and he seems to not have Saber-trails...
I might die if soemone did a cell-shaded game version of the animated show though....

Just goes to show, when dealing with less power it's all about art style. The Wii's not quite good enough to portray a totally realistic world (Force Unleashed) but it does well with something more cartoony.
They really do need a game where its 1 to 1 wii-mote saber power.
Then how do you deal with resistance, like when a lightsaber hits an enemy's lightsaber? The lightsaber stops in the game but the Wiimote keeps going.
I hope this game comes out good.
Who cares? Rumble. There whatever.
It's about imagination! If you see your saber clash with someone on the screen you should stop as well. Or do it like if you keep pushing forward when you saber lock you loose the lock. It could be done quite easily.

My favorite part of that interview was how the developer felt like he had to answer every question with some form of "the Wii Remote is a Lightsaber!"
About. Fucking. Time.
WiiU: jooncole (Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate)
3DS: 2122-5983-8919
It's more in the art style of the fucking awful-looking new CG Clone Wars.
Looks fine to me.
I never asked for this!

Think I'll keep my eye on this.
The other is doing cartwheels and running up walls and preparing to sell off stuff to buy a wii.
Excuse me I have to go knock him out now. I really should wait.
edit: Ok all done.
So..is this the same one coming out on DS? Or is that another title name?
Switch - SW-3699-5063-5018
Well duh, thats because the wii remote is a lightsaber!
enjoy that
people want accurate motion and position detection, and the wii can only handle the former
None of this matters Kazhiim because the wii remote is a lightsaber!
It doesn't need to be one one. One one would actually suck, because then you need to completely learn how to use one from scratch.
Approximations let's you get right down into the nitty gritty of slashin dudes and usin force powas.
You have to slash bits of the level off to throw things at people with the force. Oh man.

I'm not really fond of the big, ugly saber trails.

Why do they always have to have saber trails like that? I mean really

Because apparently when lightsabers are swung now, they need to look like neon green fans in the process.
They were watching Akira at the time and thought "Man we need us some light trails! Truly bangin'!"
And the Clone Wars CG movie looks fucking awesome.

Ooh, didn't know that. Ouch.

KotOR had decent looking saber trails because they were understated and smooth and that game is like five years old now or something

Trails don't bug me, it looks fun.
