I don't want to spoil it for everyone but it has to do with the colors yellow and blue.
Is that confirmed? Because I'd like the blood ravens a lot more if that were true. Its definitely plausible given the librarian thing I suppose.
Thousand sons are probably the best chaos legion.
edit: Does anyone else feel like playing DOW now?
Its not written down explicitly anywhere, and it depends if the Relic DoW-verse is the same as the BL Blood Raven-verse. However it would be a fucking awesome way of getting the Thousand Sons into the first DoW expansion and let you do all manner of wierd stuff with the alliances.

Yea, after this thread I finally jumped back online with Dark Crusade and remembered why 4v4 can be so damn fun. Massed death and destruction for all. Also, how much I can hate eldar with those damn invisible teleporty buildings.
So do you guys know the Blood Raven's secret, or what everyone assumes is their secret? If you don't know what it is I could see how you wouldn't get it, so to speak.
This and even if the Thousand Sons thing is true it doesn't make them heretics. They're just yet another Chapter with a questionable history. How many of those are there again? Oh right damn near all of them.
Not only is it a Chaos Legion the marine depicted in Fiaryn avatar is a Thousand Son Marine. Orginially one of the founding legions, they have since gone chaos. Known for high use of Physic\magic powers.
Someone explain who the Thousand Sons are. And if in fact there are a Thousand Fathers anywhere.
Chaos legion that serves Tzeentch, god of change.
Thanks to a major grade cock-up by one of their head sorcerors the bodies of most of the thousand sons were reduced to dust and they just walk around like suits of hauntd armour.
Space marines are created by the implantation of Geneseed into a host - whilst the original legions where clones, unlike in many other scifi settings 40K clones really are just genetic copies of people, and thus waiting 20 years for each marine was deemed unviable. Geneseed was the alternative, you take some easily aquired pre-pubescant sociopath and insert a small organ that produces something that contains the instructions for upgrading a baseline human into a space marine (possible a virus containing an arteficial chromosome, would explain the sterility even if the massive hormone imbalance wasn't enough).
Geneseed can't be mass produced though, it can only be grown in hosts and over the generations deteriorates. Various attempts to fix this by the Adeptus Mechanicus have met in failure as the Genetors' knowledge of the science behind the geneseed is incomplete and changing one organism into another one makes building miniturised fusion reactors seem like child's play.
The Blood Ravens are alleged to come from a secret founding where the AdMech tried to solve the gene seed issue by going back to their original stocks from before the Horus Heresy - whilst all the loyalist Geneseed from the early generations has presumably been used up to setup new lines, there is the gene seed from some other legions in storage with a big "Under no circumstance will you use this, ever" sign on them. Problem stems from the fact that the early marines were clones, and all the traitor legions' primarchs had a flaw that led to them falling and ensured that the rest of the legion was probably going to turn as well.
But hey, obviously with the help of a radical inquisitor the Genetors weeded out the worst of the traitor geneseed and settled on using the Thousand Sons'. Afterall, they were actually loyal during the Heresy until Horus disrupted a comminucation between Terra and the Space wolves that led to an unprovoked attack on Prosporo causing the legion to defect. This is why you don't trust radical inqusitors who are all too trusting of suspect sources.
So yeah - Blood Ravens are the Thousand Sons reborn, in the novels an Eldar mistakes them for their progenitors as they have a similar tendancy towards psychics and wear more or less the same colours. Unfortunately the Thousand Sons have also taken an interest, as due to Ahriman trying to stop the corruption of his legion he turned all of them into automaton.
Some of the Blood Angels Librarians realised this and erased most of their own history, of course now none of them realised this and they are constantly on the edge of damning themselves in an attempt to discover more about their lineage and past
Xenos scum though, which makes no sense unless the Farseer is implying that all three are behind the marine hence why they are visable in the mirror.
If it had been "The blind only see what they want to" or some such it may have been more mystic sounding and possibly making a point. As it stands, the ability to pierce the veil of time merely reveals a thousand awkward silences and some really awful comebacks. As always you have to make do with the outcomes that are revealed to you.
"As is thine mother!" was probably the only other alternative they got a glimpse of.
That implys the Eldar are the mirror the Blood Ravens should be looking in, and means the whole heretic thing has nothing to do with them at all. Eldar don't consider their Gods in the same way humans do anyway, what with their ideas of myth and history being more or less the same thing - the concept of a Heretic doesn't make a lot of sense unless the Marines are claiming that Kournos is a Warp God and not yet dead
Its a lousy comeback, centuries of living just isn't guaranteed to produce wit. Who needs a punchline when you can shoot lightning from your hands?

The Marines are either hypocrits (which is what the Eldar are trying to say - but then alien makes no sense) or the Eldar are just pointing out they're on Kronus for the same reason as the marines - to fight Aliens, Tyrants and Heretics, of which the marines aren't necessarily any of them.
We're really grasping at straws here, the Blood Ravens don't all even come from the same planet - why would they consider themselves as aliens compared to the natives of Kronus? That would mean they wouldn't think the orks are aliens as they too were born on Kronus, I don't think the colour of the marines' passports are really what the Eldar is referring to.
Do not ask questions of the Eldar, for they will give you three answers - one childish, one ignorant and one just plain wrong.

Oh great, I returned to share a better comparison pic (Sibbering started with a few assumptions and a rough Jes Goodwin sketch) and you're all still pissing about the bad dialog in the campaign.
Hey look, 5+, 4+, 3+, 3+ armor all lined up. Now if only Kopinski did a Terminator character illustration.

That looks a bit out of wack. I mean SM are tall, but holy shit that one is like 10 feet tall.
They're more like 8 feet + with armor.

You're eyes are whack then. He's about 380 pixels high, they're around 290-300, or about 3/4s his height. If they're six feet he's eight.
Either that or his head is supposed to be smaller than a human head. Some people like to draw their heads bigger, but I think it's just for fetish purposes or something.

We can count pixels all day long, but either we have some freakishly short IG or a abnormally tall SM.

Whos the most badass motherfucker here?
I'll tell you. Second from the left. Second from the fucking left.
That man is going up against genejacked evil paladins, the infinite ravenous maws of tyranids, and bloodthirsty orks twice as tall as him, and look at that fucking facial expression.

man, this is not rocket science
she is implying that these 3 things apply to the space marines themselves with the mirror comment. People are overcomplicating things here

And SoB are kinda small.
Well it's not like they're Eldar women, being all buffer and manlier than the men. Especially in the balls.
So really, what's DoW2 multiplayer like?
i believe the term is petite

Now the second from the right, that facial expression is a good one. Plus, her tools are fire based.
Bolters of fire plus three?
But seriously, that dude looks like he just knifed a genestealer. Thousand yard stare all over this shit.
Edit: Yeah... new avvy.
